A good book on the subject is The Unseen Hand by A. Ralph Epperson. He taught a class on the conspiratorial view of history for years at the University of Arizona.

If you have read this book, books by Jim Marrs, William Cooper, or have listened to Clyde Lewis and John B Wells on the radio, nothing going on now is a surprise. The "conspiracy theory" have been predicting these events (in great detail with extensive footnotes to verifiable sources) for decades.

Either they have been vindicated or there have been an absolute mountain of crazy coincidences.
