None of you fools know your boxing history. Everything is always modern with you guys.
Any real aficionado would know it was Lucius 'the Centurian' Crassus - against Gaius Knossos, at the Colosseum in Rome, March 5th 64BC.
They did a slo-mo on it, and it took 82 pictures on jugs so it was at least that many punches.

wowo Katsidis and Earl holy--- here's 2 for you all: I saw this live btw --- starts right after a knockdown at 5:00 minute mark in the vid
81 unanswered punches and a felonious refereee to boot
Around the 7:15 mark. This is one of the craziest barrage of punches that the incompetent ref almost got the guy killed.

Yes it is hard to watch. I have no idea what that referee was thinking. I felt really bad for Carlos de Leon when he staggered across the ring after the first 65 unanswered punches and as he bounced off the ropes with his back he tried to grab S T Gordon, AND THE REF HAD THE NERVE TO SMACK HIS HAND AWAY OFF OF GORDON'S SHOULDER.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

1st time seeing this. I concur, this fight wont be seen again by me unless it is like that Williams vs Jack Rare- by @powerpuncher posted. I 4got their names, or I wouldn't have watched it a 2nd time to remember such negligence from an official whose job is to protect the fighters from themselves!
Man, Padilla was off his game, he looked green/rookieish, like he didn't know how to position himself.
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!

Horrific shit. Sickening.
Apparently the guy getting his ass kicked was Carlos De Leon. He was the champ. And how you KNOW it was full of shit and went off script because they had a rematch as this is ST Gordon vs Carlos De Leon 1. lol... De Leon won the rematch.
Padilla was paid to let De Leon- the champ- stay on his feet at all cost to keep the title. What a shame.

Check out Roy Jones Jr. vs Tony Thornton. Right before the stoppage I remember him throwing a long combination- 50 punches or so unanswered.
