Everyone applauds key workers, my wife and I stood in the street and clapped.
Please don't suggest that I don't care or appreciate Hospital staff.
    Heroic NHS.

    Heroic NHS.

I like most of us have friends and family who are key workers both inside and outside the NHS. They have for years been looked down on as worthless by people who share your attitudes here and in the UK. Clapping does not pay wages, if you clapped after voting your Tory then it is an empty gesture. Look at how even now they treat NHS sorkers with contempt. Hee is something from one of those nurses you were clapping -

"As many of you know, earlier this year when the pandemic was at its worst, the student nurses of cohort 2017 (3rd year) were asked to join the NHS workforce early. THOUSANDS of us, terrified but dedicated signed up to a 6 month long work contract, taking us to full qualification. Many of us on COVID wards. 6 months sooner than we had ever anticipated, and we were all terrified. But we did it.

I’d just like to let you all know, that as of a few days ago, Health Education England has informed us that they can no longer afford to honour this agreement, and that many of us will be pulled out of full time paid work early.

Some of us left jobs for this. Many of us have children and families to care for. ALL of us will come out with a debt succeeding £30,000 for doing a degree we have such passion for. A degree we were told we would be valued for. This has recently been proven to not be the case.

Please do not clap for your NHS. Please in future consider voting to fund it properly.
From the bottom of my heart, cohort 17 and 18, I am sorry."

I am prohibited from mentioning the family, but he sure does bring them up a lot be it with his Daddy having an Israel- Palestine fetish and now these NHS key workers.

My sister in law is a nurse, but what it has to do with anything I just do not know.

Yes..like most of us..or were you just censoring that bit for effect?

There will be few people in the UK who do not have family members or close friends who are key workers. That is not even difficult to understand. It crazy, but posters like Dia mention his family and people rip the piss, and you guys stay silent like the cowards you all are. You would have thought something like a global pandemic might have help you gain a little perspective, but you are all too busy getting on your high horses and trying to guess who might have had it, who might not have worn a mask, who may have, or trying to pretend it is some made up bollocks while it goes through care homes and wipes people out and Coroners are not even able to record half the deaths they had from it until a few weeks ago.

That is one of the reasons you are such a cunt El Kabong. Everything when it doesn't happen to you, is a joke. Even people you have known for years on here are just expendable objects of dersion for you.

Look at the Government continually lying to us

Apple says it did not know the UK was working on a "hybrid" version of the NHS coronavirus contact-tracing app using tech it developed with Google.
The firm took the unusual step of saying it was also unaware of an issue regarding distance-measuring, which was flagged by Health Secretary Matt Hancock in Thursday's daily briefing.
Apple said it was "difficult to understand" the claims.
Downing Street said the government had "worked closely with Apple and Google".
In tests carried out in the UK, there were occasions when software tools developed by Apple and Google could not differentiate between a phone in a user's pocket 1m (3.3ft) away and a phone in a user's hand 3m (9.8ft) away.
During the briefing, Mr Hancock said: "Measuring distance is clearly mission critical to any contact-tracing app."
However, speaking to the Times, Apple said: "It is difficult to understand what these claims are as they haven't spoken to us."
The firm also pointed out that the tech was already either in use or intended for use in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Ireland.
The tech giant also expressed surprise that the UK was working on a new version of the contact-tracing app which incorporated the Apple-Google software tool.
"We've agreed to join forces with Google and Apple, to bring the best bits of both systems together," Mr Hancock said.
However, Apple said: "We don't know what they mean by this hybrid model. They haven't spoken to us about it."
It told the BBC it had nothing further to add.
On Friday, the Department of Health said the NHS's digital innovation unit had indeed discussed its ambitions with Apple.
"NHSX has been working with Google and Apple extensively since their API [application programming interface ] was made available," it told the BBC.
"Over the last few weeks, senior representatives from NHSX and Apple have had productive meetings to discuss both products and future direction.
"There is a commitment between the teams to work together to improve the distance measurement technology, which is integral to have a fully functioning contract-tracing app."....

What was I censoring? I'm just impressed by all of your family members. They are quite into everything different jobs, different countries, different diseases and maladies...it is impressive. Is there anything they don't do?

Call me all the names you like. They've lost any meaning coming from you. All you do is lash out at me and why? You disagree with me politically and you've got neither the patience or mental fortitude to debate me and you've got 0 emotional control so you can't even have a reasonable discussion.

Every day thus Givernment is spaffing money up the wall on frivolous shit, like painting the PM's plane, and lying to us while continuing their history of jobs for the boys. No such thing as experts form this rabble. If you went to Eton and Oxford with Johnson they will bung you money and/or a job.

"A senior Home Office counter-terrorism official who was at Eton and Oxford with Boris Johnson has been parachuted in to take temporary charge of the newly established joint biosecurity centre, responsible for coronavirus threat levels.

Tom Hurd has switched jobs on an acting basis to get the new centre up and running “within days”, officials said, though he remains a candidate to take over as the next director general of MI6 later this year.
The 55-year-old, the son of the former foreign secretary Douglas Hurd, has no obvious scientific background, having worked as a diplomat at the UN, as a Middle East specialist and latterly in security.
Hurd and the prime minister have been described as friends. He is considered the frontrunner to to take over after Sir Alex Younger retires from MI6, once the biosecurity centre is established..."

You were censoring the fact that unlike you, Ido not consider myself or my family anything special. Don't assume most people are some elite class like yourself, with special complimentary tickets to NASA etc. My stepson works in a food warehouse, that makes him a key worker. People that work in supermarkets, provide care to the elderly and disabled in their homes, farmers, these are all key workers . Any decent lefty bogeyman like myself would have told you that years ago. I know to you such essential jobs are not impressive, compared to you pissing about selling insurance like an American David Brent with his feet up in the office, but for most people they recognise them as essential workers, and you as someone legally seling bullshit and lies.

You might as well be a politician. It would suit you.

They should have put him in charge of the whole pandemic measures .... Hurd immunity would have been achieved in no time at all!

Ha! Loved the Spitting Image puppet of him with the Mr Whippy hair. Met him many years ago and like a few of the old school tories he seemed a decent bloke. The new mob are toxic clueless PR driven buffoons which is why I think a lot of those old school conservatives washed their hands of them.
