Interesting never heard that. Probably most Americans who work and have a 401k or 403b etc own some of both Microsoft and Starbucks. Microsoft nails it every earnings season. I didn’t buy any individually but I’m sure it’s in a Roth or mutual fund I have from work. Imagine the profit margin Starbucks makes, I don’t remember how much I paid for coffee in Starbucks as I haven’t been in one in a couple years but I do remember thinking damn that’s a lot whatever it was I paid. We have a chain place Cumberland farms in my area, it’s 1 dollar any size coffee, it tastes good and does the job that’s really all I need for coffee. It’s just a glorified gas station chain I never looked into how they handle buying their beans though.

I grind our coffee with a hand grinder made of wood from Sicily. You can only grind enough for 4 cups at a time. Its enough. WE mix in ground cardamom, ground star anise and ground black jeera. What a coffee. I wouldnt buy a coffee anywhere outside, covid or not. WE make Masala Coffee, Madras Coffee, and Ethiopian Coffee with jaggery from South INdia. 1 million times better than anything Starfuck's could make.
