hey dude man..at least he wasn't a punk mofo like this POTUS when the media of that day said don't vote for Jefferson...he's an N-word Lover!

Coulda cried the media was unfair, but he preferred a media free of government, so just like his successor who manned up aka Andrew "Kick them engines off their land" Jackson...the media said don't vote for that democrat-not because he stripped the natives of their land but because; His wife is an adulterer and a slut.
Rather than blame the media -he shot that punkazz dude who got a new occupation of pushin daisies!

What a way for this guy to bite the big one though really: his fear of slave revolts and his ever-closer association with the slave South as he grew older gave him chronic diarrhea.

To deny his miserable human failures and his woeful hypocrisy, no longer flies. It is the long-awaited time to compensate for inhuman and unspeakable acts of brutality and evil: nobody ever likes that time because not only do they have to compensate the victims but they must also admit the painful truth.

Toppling his statue will not grind his memory to dust, if that is the concern.

MLK is a hero of mine. He was a man of God who had affairs with a few women. Does that mean we should take down his statue? Some great people have done bad things but many great things as well. The media have always played people like fools and here we go again.

I find very few Presidents back then that didn't kicked the slave issue away like Pele' on the soccer field! TJ no exception. And I agree those who made so many owners/businesses to reap profit off their literal blood, sweat & tears should add resolve.
    Won't happen.
From a political POV, he shaped the mindset that majority should rule, not a minority of electors who could only vote for one- if they owned property.
As far policies he made you can't get down with, hip me on!

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

    Well you asked, so.....

    1. Jefferson was the first president to commit US forces to a foreign war. Not. Good. At. All.

    2. When fighting between France and England ratcheted up, Jefferson tried to weasel a 2-faced, conniving policy that allowed the United States to trade with both
belligerents. That was impossible, it was painfully obvious, given that both sides considered trade with the other a de facto act of war.

    3. TJ The Slave-driver passed the Non-Importation Act, which prohibited the import of goods from the British Empire. It was totally ASININE, the act did no
    good,
and both Great Britain and France continued to deny American neutral rights. Jeffy responded with the Embargo Act in 1807.
    The ridiculous
act, believe it or not, prohibited American trade with all nations—period. The act stopped the bulk of American trade, hurting the nation's economy. In
fact, it TOTALLY FUCKING DESTROYED and wrecked the economy of New England, which relied 100% on trade to support its economy.

Slim there's 3 right there, I could go on

And in his Grand Finale, TJ "The Hypocrite" Jefferson's inability to craft a creative foreign policy for the situation I just described above was THE PROOF OF HIS PALTRY AND INFERIOR SKILLS. It also pointed out American arrogance which believed the major European nations would cave in without American goods.

The Embargo Act failed, MISERABLE AND EMBARRASSINGLY, and Jefferson ended it just days before he left office in March 1809. It marked the lowest point of his foreign policy attempts. Combine that with my very first post in this thread and yeah......

    PULL THAT FUCKER DOWN.

So now back to the big big problem a racist Thomas Jefferson who had the nerve to write the words:

    ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL

.... But who could not walk the talk.

I will push at the local level and at the state level in at the federal level with my group of political activists THE ABSOLUTE 100% REMOVAL OF EVERY THOMAS JEFFERSON STATUE IN THIS COUNTRY, AS WELL AS THE ABSOLUTE 100% REMOVAL OF ANY STATUE IN THIS COUNTRY OF ANYONE WHOSOEVER, PROMOTED OR CARRIED OUT OR FACILITATED THE ENSLAVEMENT AND THE DESTRUCTION AND THE RAPE OF OTHER HUMAN BEINGS SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN

Nobody has an issue with warlord, slave owning prophets, so it looks like a very focused and particular assault specific figures largely based on a racial basis. There is a lot of slavery today and it is mostly in the non white world in the here and now, but mostly silence on that. Let's go after the dead who cannot speak for themselves and ignore those that actually can.

    Red Herring.

We can only start with our own countries first. We cannot go to slave-owning countries and bomb them. Plus the super rich presidents of the White Western World hesitate to sanction Saudi and Somalia and some of those places. Short of bombing, there are sanctions. I cannot sanction, only governments can.

I do not condone any kind of slavery by any country or people.

It is a red herring to be faux bothered by a man hundreds of years dead who has had no impact on your life in any negative way. It is virtue signalling. There are millions of people in the West who worship a slave owner and nobody says a thing. Surely we accept that it is just one of those things that happened a long time ago and that is the end of it.
