Reggie's half-brother Jerry Strickland was also a professional boxer, who also had over 100 losses in his career.
Nicolyn Armstrong, Reggie's also boxed professionally.
There is also another Reggie Strickland who boxes as a heavyweight that is purportedly Strickland's cousin.
A nephew Jay Strickland (Jerry's son) has also boxed professionally.

Not a great boxer but a good one. One of the weaker punchers to hold a title makes his resume all the more impressive, what a shame it's guys like him that never got caught up in haggling.

My top fights of him were his loss to Miguel Cotto and his win over Jose Miguel Cotto.
Took a beating against Cotto, busted up- I didn't think he would make it to the finish line and actually won a couple of rounds.

Jose Miguel wasnt the best boxer, but it was a clinic on Paulie's part.
Both his Diaz fights were also pretty good to watch.

Looking up his record I didnt know how he got booted off showtime. Didnt think his commentating was controversial but I didnt listen to whatever fight he did that pissed them off.

And on his cockiness, he did a commentary reviewing the fight. He stated he knew he fell behind on the cards and felt he had no choice to but to fight it out. Also stated Cotto wasn't just a brawler to him, he knew how to force Paulie to fight. I think that meant he was in a no-win scenario. Just man enough to take on the big test whenever it came.
