If I understand, Yen is now retired. This is his last movie fight scene.
Donnie broke the mold and never came across as a comedic fighter (Jackie Chan) or another Bruce wannabe. He is a master of his craft and made every fight scene intense.

All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
No scene quite like a master taking on the whole school. This is my all-time favorite of Yen's. While there are just 10, it is the way the scene is setup. For those few who never seen this- be PREPARED TO BE AMAZED.
He witnesses a friend shot -because he tried to take the bag of rice offered by Japanese for fighting- when he loses, so Donnie (playing Ip man) calls out 10. The music underscored is on point. His face punches look real as hell.

1st time seeing a behind the film karate flick...I'll highlight the fight sequences- they show how fast, accurate aka bad both these guys are!
3:mn 45 seconds in
6:mn 10-6:25ish
6:mn45 in to 8:minutes is a gr8 one....they have to call cut a few times, because Donnie is fuckin' this boy up for real!!! after the 3rd take he hollers I can't take it anymore!!!
9:45mn in- it's his turn to come after Donnie---Donnie can't be hit- he can fight with weapons 4real!!!! His foe is pretty good, but you can see him trying so hard at times he gets a bit sloppy, while everything Donnie does is tight, accurate without having to give up speed.
10:20 in- they're watching a take and U can see him perspiring, fatigued, while Donnie in black isn't sweating nor breathing hard!!
11minutes in, another fight sequence
13:30 they do a slow choregraph- & when they are ready they do it fast
15 minutes in- they show how they are literally learning some of these moves on the fly! Watching the choreographer, then they do it once or twice semi fast, then for real!
19:mn semi slow, 20minutes they go hard
24:45 in, before they start- he drinks some cherry juice? Well the blood he has to gush out of his mouth
about 25minutes..this is funny, Yen is just swining wildly- out of camera's view, making it look like they are hitting each other's weapons, but they are just flailing away - I guess sound effects take over from there
What I like about this clip is how they sequence the scenes, one piece at a time, Aint no damn way they can fight that hard for 10 minutes straight, let alone 5 LMAO!!!
30 minutes in commentary-- What I learned is that in his flicks he rarely uses multiple camera angles, instead they have to keep redoing the same scene over and over.

The final scene in Yen's Kill zone
Sammo Hung is a fat badass- this dude always bring it. what's sweet about this scene, is that Donnie incorporates some MMA grappling making his fight scenes all the more realistic looking
Sammo & Donnie usually work together well, for those who haven't seen this particular Ip man- they do some camera work - like jumping across chairs and fighting on a spinning table, yet the hand to hand action between both IMO justify the fakery- at least they aren't jumping over mountains!!!
1:45 into clip is funny as hell, fast punches, but friggin funny!!
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
A 7 minute fight sequence where Yen is incorporating some nice grappling in his scenes. The Gracie family should be proud to see how far their BJJ has gone!
