Anything wrong with this picture? How can countries like China, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Japan, Nepal, Thailand, have total cases of 90,,000 or 27,000 or 57,000 or 62,000, while the USA has 7 MILLION 300 THOUSAND, WITH 210 THOUSAND COVID DEATHS?

And why are so many assholes still hemming and hawing about not wanting to wear a mask? Why do clerks get shot, knocked out, assaulted, screamed at by so many Americans who refuse to wear masks?

WHy did South Dakota allow 550 THOUSAND BIKERS to hold a 10 day rally without masks That rally has now spread the virus to atleast 14 states and infected over 60 THOUSAND PEOPLE. WHO DIDNT SEE THAT COMING

What the actual fuck is wrong with Americans?

The world is baffled watching this train wreck of a failed empire with its selfish, defiant, juvenile morons refusing to wear masks and assaulting people over it.

You're gonna have two types of answers to those questions... and I'll start with the first one and the easiest to brush off.

You're gonna get the TICs of the world saying there is no virus and all those numbers are made up. That, of course, one should just allow to be blown away with the wind, because it's a worthless response.

The second will be to make all sorts of excuses as to why the U.S.'s numbers are so huge in comparison with other countries. I'll give you my own thoughts, based in part on firsthand experience talking with some Stateside people.

Number one... although Trump is not to be blamed for the pandemic itself... he certainly shoulders a HUGE portion of the blame for the lack of leadership needed to contain it as best as possible.

Instead, he #1, lied about it... saying one thing to Bob Woodward and saying another to the public, #2, passed the buck to the individual States... the easy way out and that way he could blame governors and mayors... everyone but himself, #3, played virologist... mouthing his usual CRAP about knowing more than the virologists, epidemiologists, and other medical professionals who actually studied that shit, and #4, politicizing the f*cking pandemic to the point where it almost became a civil war between mask-wearers and non-mask-wearers.

But to this you MUST add the "rights" fascination of much of the American public. "No... you are NOT violating my rights telling me I must wear a mask!!" I personally know people like that... and they've gone as far as to present fake Medical Exemption Cards at businesses, threaten to sue... and just plain behave in an ugly fashion when told they can't come inside a store. To some... their goddamn rights are more important than life and health. Never mind their own. But that of those around them who might have increased susceptibility to the virus. No matter how you slice and dice it.... it is an ugly, selfish, childish way to behave in a global crisis such as this one. I've yet to meet someone whose health deteriorated because they were forced to wear masks. Inconvenience. It's what it always f*cking boils down to.

Those, to me, are the main factors in why are the numbers so much higher in the U.S. Add to that the geographical difficulties of governing a nation of such population diversity..... and you have a perfect storm for a pandemic such as this.
