Never thought about this match up but it seems good enough for PPV if you ask me. Probably may end up the biggest fight next year if nothing else pops up.

More chance Spence survives another thrown from window 100mph car crash than Canelo killing himself to make 160 again.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
C'mon... seriously? Boxing history is littered with fighters that have gone down to a previous weight. Why is Canelo any different?
Three reasons why Canelo would most definitely "kill himself" to make 160 again:
- Money
- Fame
- Because he can.
Ok so maybe he doesn't need the money. But he won't turn it down. Fame? He already considers himself The Face of Boxing. But a beatdown of a comparative gnat with a huge name wouldn't hurt.
Finally... Canelo's weight games are well known to all boxing fans.
Four years ago he couldn't be bothered with GGG until the fight was "marinated", and because he couldn't persuade Golovkin to come down to 154.
My, how times have changed... and all of a sudden Canelo "can't make it down to 160."
I don't bet... but that's one bet I'm sure I'd win. That somewhere in Canelo's future there will be a sacrificia... er... showdown against Spence. The only thing that could derail that is if Spence loses to Garcia.
I’m not a huge fan of these types of fights because boxers don’t fight enough to warrant it. If fighters fought 4-5 times a year, I have no problem with these types of fights thrown in there. Spence has multiple good fights to be made at welterweight. If he can’t make the weight anymore, he can fight at 154 and there are some good fights for him there.
I get that it’s all about money so I can’t fault him for that, but it’s just unfortunate. If they were the same size, I would favor Spence, but Canelo is so much bigger and Spence’s style wouldn’t do well against a big fighter like Canelo.
This is silly stuff. One of those in name only glory match makings that give promoters half chubs in the night. If there was one top middle Canelo should melt down for, and he won’t, it’s Charlo. Spence should want Crawford full stop. Spence ain’t even proven he’s back and whole ffs.
Rather than face the biggest threat in their division, fighters cash out and would prefer loosing to a PPV star.
Thurman did the same.
