He has been in the best car for over a decade, absolutely no question about it, in a very poor era for drivers.

Hell of a way to suddenly see all hope and future wiped away. Now of course I'm assuming a lot and we've seen medical miracles but jesus, his legs sound like a jigsaw puzzle after that accident. Multiple compound fractures and rods needed in def one lower leg. One ankle pieced back together with bolts and pins ffs . I don't with that on anyone. I've golfed maybe 3 times in my life but are not the legs, stability and foot placement just as important to a golfer as a boxer etc. I don't know how Tiger isn't on a trunk of painkillers in the near future.

Yeah it's difficult to envision him being a factor in professional golf from here on out. Not to mention the fact he was only a few months removed from his latest back surgery. Legs, feet, back... they're all crucial at that level of golf playing. Strange notion for me, because I've always been one of those who barely consider golf a sport at all. Yet the amount of strain it puts on backs and knees is greater than most people think.

IMO he's done. In the end will be remembered as one of the greatest golfers of all time... but again IMO he'll always play second fiddle to The Golden Bear.

I’m shocked by the accident. You sort of think that elite sportsmen are not really human and are invulnerable.

This is a bit like Micheal Schumacher’s skiing accident, or Ken Norton’s car crash.

Woods is a genuine sporting Titan. Completely revolutionised his sport, while also being the first top black player in an elitist and quite race divided pastime. He was the most famous sportsman in the world for a long time.

Yes, an imperfect human being .... but he showed immense fortitude and guts to come back from his injuries, proving he was much much more than just a freakish talent.
