I'm addicted to sweets.

First off, good.list.

One day I needed major sweets mainlined. Here's what I did. No joke.

I bought 2 big bars of semisweet baking chocolate, like 8 ounces each. Then I bought bought an 8 ounce box of black raisins, powdered sugar, and a big ass bottle of whipped ass motherfuckin cream.

But how I assembled this gem defies reason:

Got off my 2ns bus, Walked 1 mile in 20 degrees Fahrenheit over icy busted up sidewalks, dreaming of the assembly of this mindblower dessert. See, I had just left my Haitian girlfriend's place and if you can imagine, I had worked up some damn appetite, this is now about 8 pm on a mid-week work night. This was 1995, East Orange, winter night.

Got home, washed up, got out a big pyrex casserole dish. Laid those 2 choco bars down, sprinkled copious spoonfuls of raisins over them, covering them totally, and Zapped that baby good for 90 seconds in the microwave. Took it out, lusciously melted about 3/4 of the way, raisins sunken in and luscious.....sprinkled powdered sugar all over that and then totally sprayed the fuck out of it with a mountain of whipped ass cream.

Got out a big spoon and went to town on that ass B.

Not the same, but reminded me of lava cake, when made right! Oh, And with a scoop of vanilla (so hard to find custard for some sad reason)

I loved my desserts at school.

Chocolate Crunch, cornflake tarts, banana puddings were other favourites and liked pink custard especially on sponge cakes.

Lemon meringue pie is lovely . The lemon filling is Slightly different to tarte au citron, but both amazing. Sticky toffee is immense. 50 Million calories a serving, but hey ho.

Looking at this thread and just realize I really suck at favorite desserts . Does a warm apple fritter dipped in a cup of coffee count. Used to love cinnamon pound cake w/ vanilla bean ice cream. A plate of hot beignets with powdered sugar stacked up. Motorboat the thing and come up looking like Tony Montana himself!
