Castillo/Corrales as good as Hagler/Hearns? No way. Did not have the intensity and the guys could not punch like Hagler/Hearns. There was a reason that fight didn't last long. Both guys could punch and they were accurate punchers. Castillo and Corrales were not as accurate or as hard punchers as Hagler/Hearns. Castillo and Corrales are B fighters. Hagler and Hearns gave each other something they never saw before. ALot of trainers said after Hagler/Hearns that they were amazed both guys were standing at the end of round one. Hagler/Hearns at the time would have beaten any middleweight except each other, cannot say the same for Castillo and Corrales at thier weight. It was a good fight , but not the intensity of Hagler/Hearns or the historical significance.

Hagler and Hearns were just better fighters than Castillo and Corrales. If you put Hearns or Hagler in the ring with either Corrales and Castillo they demolish either of them. That is how good they were. They were the top two fighters in the world at the time. Where was Castillo and Corrales. My guess is top 20 maybe but I wouldn't count on that. Hagler Hearns lives a little more into history.. Just on the quality of the guys.

well of course they would hagler is middleweight corrales and castillo arent yes hearns vs hagler was good but for short time corrales and castillo was great action for 10 rounds then u had one of greatest rounds in history the 10th so yea i think it could be better than hagler and hearns

I saw both fights and Hagler Hearns was more explosive and shocking.. Just my opinion. And the punches Hagler and Hearns were landing were haymakers.. Castillo and Corrales were loading up in calculation. It was a great fight, but not the event and skills of a Hagler or a Hearns.. It was not the middleweight part I am talking about which would stop Corrales and Castillo, it is the skill. Hagler and Hearns was a legit Vegas superfight. You could still pick 5 guys in Castillo or Corrales division who could beat them. There was just a professionalism and sharpness to Hearns and Hagler which was lacking in Corrales and Castillo.

Although you make valid points,I TOTALLY disagree that there were 5 guys in the division that could be Castillo-Corrales! Maybe Cas but no one else!!
