p4pking. Tommy Hearns fought more legends than Floyd. Alot more. Floyd has yet to really face that guy who is his equal. And using the excuse like Roy Jones that he makes them all look like his unequal is not the truth. Hearns fought many guys in the Mayweather level. And Floyd was just too small for Tommy to fight. It would have been an easy fight for Hearns. Let's see how Floyd does when he someday steps up to the elite level.

Damn, This thread just turned into a "let's hate on Floyd" campaign, People need to understand that Hearns height and jab alone couldn't handle pbf, Floyd's defensive skills are just too good for that, And when it comes to the technical ability Floyd's got him 100 times over along with the movement and speed, The notion that Floyd couldn't "deal with a tall jabbar" is just people's pent up fantasies of wanting to see him get beat, IT'S NOT A FACT as the only "tall guy with power" who faced Floyd got floored 5 times,

People need to step their game up and leave the hate alone man no-one's seeing Floyd right now!!..it's TRUE

    Peace

Floyd loves to take away a guys jab by countering with the right, but he has to be in range to land the right, he'd have major problems with that against a guy as long as Hearns was.

Plus people are forgetting that Hearns was very fast at welter. Floyd might be faster but he seems to have slown down some at 147, so its not as big an edge as some think.

Not to mention Hearns had the power to end it at any time, and I don't think Floyd has the power at 147 to stop Hearns, Leonard was a much stronger, harder puncher at 147 than Floyd.

Floyd would have to be perfect for 12 rounds, bad styles matchup for him, one of the worst I can think of.

Didn't say otherwise..... But to be honest, who is Floyd going to fight who is his equal?? THat's what makes him great he doesn't have any.

Floyd likes to take guys jab away exactly. and you are right, not Thomas Hearns jab. Tommy is a legend here with the best right hand in history and a jab which in the 80s rivalled that of Larry Holmes. Floyd has not beaten a legit legend yet. Floyd is overrated. We have a dry spell in boxing. We need a great fighter like Tommy or Julio Cesar Chavez or a Larry Holmes. but since we do not have one, we like to see Floyd beat up guys who he is overmatches for like Baldomir. Tommy is a legend who has a few great fights in the boxing historical psyche. All Floyd has is wins over good guys but no one great. Tommy would have easily beaten Floyd. Floyd would have no answer for a 78 inch reach and crushing right hand. There is no doubt. Hearns had the goods and proved it. And I think Floyd calling out Oscar and Shane is not fair. He needs to fight his contemporaries. Oscar has proven himself against the greats.

At 147...Man I know that many will just sa I am biased because of how much I like Tommy but...At that weight A weight Hearns was at his best..147 is not Floyds best weight IMO....
If Judah had him wincing from body shots that kept him defensive the first 5 or so rounds Tommy would hurt him BAD!!...
Judah does not start out as fast as Hearns...He does not posess the long jab or one punch KO shot that Hearns did. Tomm was strong throughout the whole fight not in spots...Hearns also was as fast if not faster than judah especially with the jab....Floyd could move enough maybe to keep safe but Hearns could then just walk him down...
Contrary to popular beliefe Flod does not have the power Leonard did and Floyd would not be as obliging to go toe to toe as Ray was....It took wearing down from shots duriing the fight to get hearns tired enough to get caught like Leonard caught Hearns...
Most of Tommys losses by KO and his Glass Jaw as people like to say were against a lot bigger punchers than Floyd...And at a higher weight than 147
Hidden Content IN CASE THEY ALL FORGOT WHAT REAL HEAVYWEIGHT POWER WAS!!!
