I'm betting ten Canadian quids on Smith at 4/1.

I give Canelo and team a lot of flak for a lot of things..... but THIS..... isn't one of them.

    Canelo & Team NEVER miscalculate.

If they agreed to face Callum, without rehydration clauses even....... the computer must've spit out a major flaw somewhere.

Risk-taking is not in their DNA.

Maybe but I'm not sure, alvarez really isn't a great come forward pressure fighter unless he learned a lot recently and if he did then we have to tip our hat to him :S... He doesn't seem like a guy who does well chasing down a good tall guy, this fight really could go badly for him...

But I also do I agree that his managers really do calculate well, I just think they might be putting too much stock in the ryder fight, add in the promoter and broadcasters disputes, I think this is going to be interesting.

Good points and I sincerely hope you're proven right. I wouldn't mind a KTFO victory for Callum.

If Canelo wins, I would say this would be his best win. Smith is a solid fighter and as far as I know, there are no crazy stipulations for this fight.

I am predicting a close match that Canelo gets the nod on the judges scorecards.

As per usual, the fight is in "Canelo Land", meaning that territory comprised of Las Vegas, all of Texas, southern California, and of course if he were ever to fight in Mexico.

If the fight does indeed go to a decision, that's quite the thick limb you're climbing out on by predicting Canelo "getting the nod."

Callum would have to incapacitate Canelo to win... and even then the adding of the scorecards would take several hours.

To win Smith will have to stop him. That is not beyond him. Unlikely but not impossible. Good luck to him. He is going to need it.
