Alvarez looks better and better. He dealt with a massive height and reach disadvantage like it was nothing and his defence is a massive plus point for him these days. Very impressive. I wonder if he'll actually fight Beterbiev anytime soon.

No.
Anyone giving Smith a chance was kidding themselves, he lost to John Ryder so he was never going to be able to beat Canelo.
Just proves what a wonderful fighter Floyd Mayweather really was to beat Canelo.
To bad kovalev liked the vodka so much....don't like canelo since the ggg gift but he's really good
did anyone in smith's corner tell him to stop laying on the ropes?
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
At post fight interview, someone asked about Canelo going to Cruiserweight.
A laugh and a smirk dispelled that notion.
Yes indeed Al. I watched Smith give away his height advantage by crouching and leaning in, allowing Canelo to dictate the distance that the fight was to be fought within, (taking away all his leverage) then his utter contempt for Smiths power. Alvarez did whatever he wanted to do in there, aided by a sadly inept showing by Smith who was just in survival mode after the 9th.
The size difference was comical at times, but it had no bearing at all. It was a man against a boy in there.
Stright afterwards, I watched Mayweather against Alvarez. Jesus, what a fighter Floyd was. Brilliant against an admittedly pre-roided to the gills Canelo. It's painfully obvious when you look at the changes in his physique!
Mayweather stood right in the pocket, like Don Curry used to do, countered Canelo until he was gun shy. Controlled the ring, astonishing reflexes and technique and superb fitness and stamina.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Canelo is brilliant to watch! He just went in there and bullied Smith with no respect for Callum's physical attributes. it was pretty masterful.
Meat fiasco aside, I think the Bryd scorecard has pitted many people against Canelo and all the claims of favouritism, gifts, advantages that comes with his power statusas boxings biggest draw.
I don't really understand people's hate of a guy who celarly boxes beautifully, puts on a show each time, faces good opposition and steps up divisions giving up any physical advantages he might have enjoyed at the lower weights. That should be applauded by boxing fans who are time and again left disappointed by boxers not fighting the best and promotors protecting their cash cows.
Maybe it's the fact he isn;t an English speaker either, but Canelo doesn't seem to be a brash, trash talker and living up the god life too much. He seems to do his talking in the ring.
