I think Biden's just making it clear that it's HIS show now... and not Trump's. Maybe he's been a bit overzealous with the speed and quantity of the executive orders... but he's probably making the point I just mentioned.

As for the orders themselves, I can definitely say the Obamacare one is very good. Trump had only tried to wipe it out because he's always hated Obama for being a better speaker than him... but Trump never came up with a viable alternative and thus basically wasted four years of citizens' time, especially those who really needed the benefits from something like Obamacare. After four years of Trump vindictiveness, it was only natural that ol' Biden was going to pay him back with some of his own medicine.

It'll taper off, I believe... and Biden will go about the business of running the country and hopefully Trump will slink back into the woodwork.

There's nothing vindictive about any executive order Biden signed. Almost all of them are related to the pandemic including the one allowing people who've lost their jobs/healthcare to sign up for Obamacare coverage.

You really think Trump is going to go away quietly? Are you following the news?

Who on earth thinks Biden is perfect? This is just more of your partisan bullshit. For four years while most posters have been able to see the bullshit on both sides you and most Trump supporters here have insisted at every point, whatever he does Trump is different. He is unique nobody should ever question him.

People at the start were not so much anti Trump as anti horse shit and the guy upped the horse shit levels to another level.

    Every day.

    Several times a day.

    On twitter ffs.

Nobody needed the mainstream media bogeyman you bedwetters used as an excuse.

It came straight from the horses arse and was spread around the world via twitter.

Twitter isn't a news feed, it's a publishing platform. It seems to do a better job of informing me about current events than you half remembering shit you heard on talk radio though, doesn't it.

Canada will list the Proud Boys movement as a terrorist group

Ottawa, Canada (CNN)Canada announced Wednesday that the Proud Boys will be designated as a terrorist entity along with 12 other groups.

The Proud Boys will be deemed an "ideologically motivated violent extremist group" along with three others: Atomwaffen Division, The Base and Russian Imperial Movement, the government said in a news release.
"Their violent actions and rhetoric are fueled by white supremacy, anti-Semitism, racism, homophobia, Islamophobia and misogyny, and unfortunately, often in combination of all of the above," said Public Safety Minister Bill Blair at a news conference Wednesday.
Government officials say the move will help Canada freeze the groups' financial assets and criminalize financing, training and recruitment for all such groups.
When asked about the new terrorist designation for the Proud Boys, Blair said that the events of January 6 on the US Capitol did initiate a "political response" in Canada, but that the decision was not political.
"And as disturbing and concerning as those images and those events were, they also provided law enforcement and our intelligence services with a trove of new information in which quite frankly, many of these groups revealed themselves," said Blair, adding that Canada's decision was based on "evidence, intelligence and the law."

So they're "fueled by white supremacy" & racist, but are led by a person of AfroCuban ancestry (among other members of color in their group)?

They're anti-Semitic AND Islamophobic? Wow they've really threaded the needle there haven't they?

How are they misogynist? They call to "venerate the housewife", is that misogynist?

    They're homophobic?

The refusal of mental midgets to even question the premise is LAUGHABLE. But sure the likes of Kirkland will cheer and no the government hasn't provided/produced evidence of anything, but Kirk is easy to please "My side wins yaaaaaaaay" without ever considering the consequences.

It is knee jerk thinking plain and simple. Just accepting the narrative in the mainstream media. Political correctness is just fascism disguised as having good manners

Ah yes, it comes as no surprise to find out that you're defending a bunch of fascist terrorists. And to do so you're providing the ultimate standard of proof, the youtube video.

    They're not antisemitic at all:

That apparently stands for six million wasn't enough. As far as antisemitic goes they certainly make common cause with a bunch of explicitly Nazi groups. The ADL, who know a thing or two about antisemitism, seem to think that they're massive antisemites. And hating Muslims doesn't mean that somebody can't hate Jews too. This is a white supremacist organisation thickhead, they don't like anybody unlike themselves.

And from the ADL this is how much they venerate women:

the U.S. should have “enforced monogamy” because women are “colostomy bags for various strangers’ semen” when they have sex outside of marriage.

    https://www.adl.org/proudboys

The dictionary definition of terrorism is using violence to achieve political ends, so it appears the Canadians are right on the money.

You need to take a step back here Lyle. You're becoming increasingly radicalised over the years and that's not even taking into account the crazy conspiracy shit. You can continue the way you're going and eventually be forced to choose between democratic ideals or an explicit violent white supremacist reaction to the march of history. If you keep on the course you're on the next few decades are going to become increasingly unpleasant for you. You should try and make your peace with the inevitalbe course of history before you end up doing something you'll regret.

Trump will only remain relevant as long as his cronies and fans make him relevant.

Also... if you want to argue about the "vindictiveness" of Biden's executive orders... go for it. All I know is if Trump hadn't been such a divisive, horse's ass of a President, Biden wouldn't have felt compelled to sign close to 50 Executive Orders in his first seven days.

But you're wrong about "almost all of them are related to the pandemic."

In the first seven days of Executive Orders and Memorandums with directives, more than half of them were not related to the pandemic (25-18, to be exact).

Also... if you want to argue about the "vindictiveness" of Biden's executive orders...

So because his fans are Trump fans rather than Republicans and there are more Trump supporters out there than Republicans then clearly he's going to dominate the GOP for the forseeable future, no?

The way you put it it's like Trump is history and if those wacky Republicans can just forget about him and get on with setting out a new moderate right wing approach things can go back to normal.

Well it's not going to happen. The GOP politicians are terrified of their voters. Due to gerrymandering and the way GOP voters are geographically distributed the vast majority of GOP pols aren't worried about elections, they can't lose. They're worried about primaries. And if they go against Trump they're going to be facing a primary in 2022 if they're congresscritters or in two to six years if they're senators.

Now it might not be Trump who is the cult leader when they're next facing a primary. It might be the Jewish space laser lady or the My Pillow guy. But the voters are going to demand fealty to the cult leader or they'll be out on their arse and that informs the state of current GOP politics. It means they have to support outright crazy shit that they know is crazy shit or they'll get the boot.

It's true that Biden has had to sign so many executive orders due to the radical policies of the recently departed disgraced ex president so he shouldn't really face criticism for it. The thing is the GOP have little to work with at the minute so they're throwing anything they can at him.
