Those who don't like not getting instant answers prefer bold-faced lies as long as they're said authoritatively... preferably with the word "PERIOD" at the end to drive the lie home.

I am always amazed how adept they are about a answering questions without actually answering them or saying anything despite using many words. It’s an art I just can’t master. I try it once in a while but I am not granted the leeway politicians do

To be sure, being a WH Press Secretary is a thankless job. You're gonna get burned at the stake no matter WHAT you do. TBH, "answering without answering" is probably a prerequisite skill for this position. I'd venture to say there are some here on the forum that would do very well at the job.

But again, given the two choices... have someone tell me he'll/she'll "circle back to me"... or have someone lie to my face with the conviction of someone telling the truth... well... I guess I'll have to circle back to you on that one.

J/K of course. Do anything but lie. It undermines everything you'll ever say after that.
