Yeah well wait till saturday. Baldomir had judah running sure, but do you honestly think Judah was in as good shape for Baldomir as he was for Floyd? Do you think he still would have put up as good a fight if that was Floyd instead of Baldomir?

I predict Leanard V Duran 1 replay, if Maywether has the balls of Ray but going by his choice of opponents over the past few years I dont think so, hes happy to rot away dreaming of De La Hoya giving him a payday
Ray Leonard and FLoyd is a comparison you can make. Roberto Duran and BALDOMIR, isn't. And he could have hurt Judah more, but why take the risk, Judah is a much more dangerous puncher/counter puncher than Baldomir, he'll simply be able to hit Carlos a hell of a lot more right from the get go. This fight won't even be close, it will look the same as Floyd vs Hatton would imo.
how can duran not be compared to baldomir when you just compared a fight between hatton and mayweather and baldomir and wayweather and stated they would go the same way...
hatton and baldomir are nothing alike , they fight nothing alike they dont have the same strength and power, the outcomes would be totally different, there is no comparision between both fighters chances against floyd.
    peace
Duran can't be compared to Baldomir because he was 10X the fighter that Baldomir is, wheras Floyd is probably fairly close to Leonards level. although Hatton is better p4p than Baldomir Carlos is bigger and has the same advantages over Floyd that hatton would, except Ricky doesn't even have size on him. It would be two guys without the skills to box him, relying on their sheer physicality and trying to rough the boxer up and wear him down. I would see them both going the same way because neither Baldomir or Hatton have very good defence and always come forward. Hatton is a much better puncher though and has good body attack, wheras Baldomir is much bigger and can obviously take much better punches. Thats what I think at least.

im just really looking forward to this weekends fight and i'll catch it about wednesday or something...
but lets say im going to reserve judgement on ricky's genuine chance until this baldomir fight is over..

That's a bad sign for Baldo. When a boxer comes out like that, he's usually very confident (is this another case of picking an easy fight?) and when he is very confident, he'll unload all that he's got and that'll be a very dangerous stuff.
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

badlomir is really a light middleweight who has made welterweight. I cant see any way baldomir can win the fight. floyd will be too fast offering angles and keeping away from the right hand with his side on stance.

I cant see floyd stopping him but he should win handily on points

yeh i hear ya bro!! ... this is how i think its going to be so interesting and is why im reserving judgement against baldomir losing... its likely, but its not over till its over..
baldomir is very big... fairly powerful... his punches arent all that powerful.. they not snappy
they are just blunt.. like bieng hit with something spread out.. it just kinda dizzy's you and it slows down a fighter! and although floyds speed is ten times any of baldomirs attributes baldomir does have an awesome chin , probably twice the chin gatti has... and since floyd hasnt been a true power puncher since his stint at lightweight, theres a slight chance that floyd cant stop carlos...
floyd is not powerful .... but he is very very accurate doesnt waste shots atall..
another interesting thing is that floyd has been prone to trading with heavyer handed fighters like in the corley fight and floyd was rocked momentarily recently by both corley and zab... but with his awesome defence the following blows either missed or were just glancing..
and mayweather has said during interviews that carlos cannot hurt him and that he is willing to trade with him, baldomir will be alot heavyer then floyd come the night of the fight and although he only gets caught with the one punch then makes them miss the rest.... with carlos it might only take one punch!!

Did you watch the Judah fight Floyd had Judah running like hell from the 6-10 rounds. That body work Judah was receiving was KILLING him, people forget that's what caused the low blow. Judah was getting beat up so badly in the tenth, he had to do something. Once Flod's body work started setting in, then Floyd started to go to the head and then everything started working. Anybody watching that fight can tell you that while it was competitive early in the fight, Floyd was murdering Judah in the mid to late rounds, and if Judah didn't low blow Floyd in the tenth, Floyd's body work would have stopped Judah in the eleventh. That whole melee in the ring fucked Floyd's focus up and he just wanted to coast to a win after it was over.

BTW, let's not get this confused. Baldy might be a true welter but he hasn't knocked out a bunch of people. People seem to think Floyd has a soft chin, but honestly Floyd just doesn't get hit enough to get knocked out. He can take a shot, he was buzzed after a massive shot from Judah but he regrouped. Baldomir doesn't have one punch knockout power, even for Floyd, and he won't touch Floyd.

Of course i watched the judah fight! and your right.. ive said the same on a different topic...
i had judah even going into the seventh.. but counting the knockdown :P he was one point up...
and from the seventh onwards floyd was the agresser although i would say the 12th was floyds because zab was the aggressor as floyd was sitting on the ropes hoping to pick zab off and stop him..
i personally dont believe that zab hit floyd low on purpose .. we all know that floyd holds peoples heads down in fights and floyd went to hold zabs head down, sort of did zab ducked down came back up with what should have been a body shot and hit him strait in the jewels and then threw another shot because he was unaware it was low until the ref called time out... in which the brawl happened..
you could argue that floyd lost his rythym after that, but i could argue back that zab was choked out in the corner by roger mayweather which is a fact not an arguement! whilst floyd stood in a nuetral corner and remained unscaved.. not exactly good for judah in the fight!

    like i said regarding baldomir...
he is more then a true welter wieght .. hes a hard nosed, granite chinned tank that walks around at around 180 pounds, he'll be at 147 for a minute during the weight in.. and by fight night he'll be a tank again...
like i said... its not snappy punches, theyr blunt and heavy and they slow down a fighter, making it easyer to gain a decision!!
my main perspective on the fight is clear...
i have stated that how baldomir does in the fight is all up to floyd..
if floyd stands and delivers it'll be a long night and theres a chance he could loose..
if floyd fights the right fight and uses his speed accurate punches and defense he comes out with and excellent ud..
but floyd has said on the record that he is willing to trade with baldomir, and baldomir has a big chin and like i mentioned earlier floyd isnt a big puncher at welterweight... we will know within the first 4 rounds whether floyd can hurt baldomir... and if he can't and hes still standing in front of baldomir and trading punches... it will be a long hard night for floyd...
so theres no prediction in my statements just fact...
if i were to make a prediction now.. i would say floyd ud because i think floyd knows hes come too far to risk his record and stand in front of carlos... i think he just said he'll trade just to sell the ppv!!

and i cant comment on the ward fight as i havnt seen it!
but zab did land a couple of very good shots on floyd in the early rounds

Come on, OF COURSE Floyd says he will trade with Baldy. He's trying to sell tickets and PPV. He's not gonna go into a press conference promoting the fight and say "Yeah, I'm gonna to fight a smart defensive fight and I probably will only throw jabs, right hand leads, and I might clinch a lot. Tune into HBO pay per view and pay $50 to watch a smart technical fight." Plus, trading to Floyd, isn't Gatti type trading, it's trading with great defense and not leaving yourself open after throwing a punch.

Almost any fighter has a chance to win if they have an extraordinary night. Saying One fighter has no chance is misleading. I don't think baldomir can beat mayweather, but in no way, do is say that he has no chance of winning. He has maybe a 30% chance of winning. Not good odds.

you are absolutly correct about floyd not looking so baby face anymore! How old is he now? 40?
he cut off all his hair...it makes him look older.....and I believe he is going to open up on Baldomir....he wants to make a statement....
