I think they are exaggerating and far shorter. I have a poster that said Tyson was just half inch under 6ft and the people that I know that have met him say he is only 5ft 9inches.

I think they are exaggerating and far shorter. I have a poster that said Tyson was just half inch under 6ft and the people that I know that have met him say he is only 5ft 9inches.

For Tyson I will go with 5 11 1/2. I remember Larry Merchant on a David Tua fight also stated ...both guys are a bit taller- not shorter than listed...and said in fact when Tyson stands upright he is indeed about 5 11 1/2.


And when I saw him at the IBHOF- I was (unknowingly) standing next to the SUV they wanted to escort him- but the guy driving him in the little golf cart- messed up- thought he was going to the hotel next door...when they got it right & swung back around...he was about 2 feet away from me. So I would agree he is indeed at least 5 '11 1/2 close to my height.

Considering height, someone that really blew me away- was Alexis Aerguello- he is listed as 5'11. Considering the weight he fought at I now know why they called him the explosive THIN man. I was maybe two table distances away from him and was amazed that he almost looked my height. A guy who once fought at as Super Feather standing at 5'10 or close to!!!!

The tallest fighter I stood next to was a tossup between Evander Holyfield and Buster Douglass. Saw Evander backstage at a Luther Vandross concert and was at the buffet table side by side with Buster. They were down to the last piece of chicken -we looked at each other & I stated... Well I guess we know who gets the last piece LMAO!!

A few seconds later came out with a fresh batch and he offered me first piece...Ok I digress again!

You think he's the same height as a Cotto or Mayweather LMAO! about a 1:10 in he & Walcott are both standing upright- squared up and there is no 4 inch disparity, but if you got anything to validate 5'8 please set the record str8!!!

I have no validation just guessing. What about Tommy Hearns who was a freak at welterweight 6ft 2inches and had all that power!!!!

Sugar Ray Leonard was a great to even take him on never mind beat him.
