Fury strikes me as a boxer who likes the challenges of winning titles but not to defend them.

It may be a coincidence and bad luck that he has never defended the title but he could if he put his mind to it. They gave him a huge ESPN contract and he fought regularly although it was against abysmal opponents so he can do it if he wants.

I think he would be up for the AJ fight as a defence or challenger for the belt. He just can not be bothered with the rest of the challengers. He will probably retire if he beats AJ and go into wrestling.
