Pretty standard long jabbing and 1-2s first two round by Rivera. He almost overextends himself making it harder to cut Romero off. Romero from Argentina seems up for it so far rolling better and getting off choppy flurries in 3rd. Like to see Rivera more side to side. Bit stiff and tall early

Long jab working overtime for Rivera. Finally gets some backfoot in 4th. Romero opens up looking to retaliate, awkward choppy stuff with so far not much on them. Rivera absolute pin point weighted right uppercut caught Romero who did well to stand up to it. Good finish to 7th for Rivera but Romero is a hard crude dude trying to throw back and taking what he has.

Rivera owns majority 8th but again Romero goes all in at end and landing a couple clean on Rivera but no effect. Rivera disputing trainer 'he's there follow up' in corner..Rivera with 'yeh but he don't stay there'. That was interesting

Helluva tough chin on Romero as well as Rivera not piling on and content to box smart, fair enough should be shut out. Great jab all night. Someone needs to remind him he's #2 for Gervonta Davis who now needs a new opponent for that ppv date in Dec or Jan.

Rivera looks pretty quick and strong, doesn't look like he's at his final weight yet, I think he probably should be stopping this guy, looks like he has some nice potential though.
