    Couple things.

1-Loma’s footwork is miles better than Manny. Manny had fast feet but his footwork was not great, he was always off balance.

2-how is Loma a take all comers guy? He picked up a vacant belt at 126, that doesn’t mean fighting the best. He refused Berchelt at 130, they refused Mikey until Mikey left at 135.

Loma is a treat with his skill level, but take all comers, how can anyone figure that? Literally refused the top guys. We can’t ignore what actually happened for how we feel. Sure we know it was Arum, but in the end if your promoter refused the top guys the fighter is held accountable

I feel like much of this is subjective and appreciate your perspective but will reply just for the sake of the discussion.

    1. We agree that Loma has better footwork, that why I added the part about the footwork of a dancer and didn’t leave it at just Manny’s footwork.

    2. Loma fought Salido in his second fight and Garry Russel jr. in his third- name one other fighter in the history of the sport that fought that level of competition in their second and third fights. He also made Nicholas Walters quit, beat Linares and Campbell, and took on Teo. I believe his plan was to totally unify while running through all the young guys, but came up a little short vs Teo.

If you feel that Loma is ducking anyone then we just have to agree to disagree. That argument sounds similar to when people were saying Oscar ducked Winky Wright or Manny ducked anyone.

Vasiliy Lomachenko targets George Kambosos Jr after beating Richard Commey

Ukraine's Vasiliy Lomachenko continued his bid to reclaim the WBA, IBF and WBO lightweight titles with a stunning win against Ghana's Richard Commey.

Lomachenko, 33, knocked down Commey in the seventh round, going on to secure victory by unanimous decision at Madison Square Garden in New York.

It was a wide margin on all three cards, with Lomachenko judged to have won 117-110, 119-108 and 119-108.

Three-weight champion Lomachenko hopes to now face George Kambosos Jr.

Unheralded Australian Kambosos Jr became the unified world lightweight champion last week by stunning American Teofimo Lopez in a split-decision victory.

Lopez, who suffered his first loss in 17 fights, had beaten Lomachenko in October 2020 to add the WBA (Super) and WBO titles to his IBF belt.

Lomachenko had hoped for a rematch with Lopez after losing to him in Las Vegas, but the American was instead ordered to defend his belt against mandatory challenger Kambosos Jr, who produced one of the biggest boxing shocks of the year.

Now Lomachenko, a two-time Olympic gold medallist and once considered the sport's pound-for-pound number one, has targeted a bout with Kambosos Jr.

"I will go anywhere I need to go to fight him," Lomachenko said. "I need this chance."

Meanwhile, 39-year-old Nonito Donaire defended his WBC bantamweight belt with a fourth-round knockout win over fellow Filipino Reymart Gaballo in California.
