As much of a showcase as that was it was a brief needed destruction. Thought they needed to stop it earlier. Speaks to the emptiness of some rankings though as Lemieux was up to 3 ffs. But small positives regardless, Benavidez did exactly what you're supposed to do to overmatched opponents and for once actually looked lean and faster at the weight . I think he's in a great spot with Canelo coming back "home" and has been on deck for him for some time now. Question always was does Benavidez keep his head on straight..weight and earlier career missteps..and gaining any form of motivator aka title claim for Canelo because we know that's what motivates ol Canelo partly .

but no waiting around enough of that for many guys around the weight. Benavidez v Plant would seem a sure thing easy enough to make. Andrade doesn't even know where or at what weight he's competing. Morrell would be very nice! Cannot see Plant or Andrade having a very good night with David tbh.
