"For me, I feel like I can take a punch. I'm not saying that [Wilder] doesn't hit hard or nothing," Ruiz Jr told Boxing Social. "I'm gonna get in, I'm gonna throw my combinations, I'm gonna be fast, explosive, and I throw that right hand, in his temple, and he's gonna go down ... We're right here trying to stay busy and trying to stay focused."

“Andy Ruiz presents absolutely no threat to a disciplined Deontay Wilder,” Scott told Casinos en Ligne. “I’ve been going over my notes and from film study I see Andy Ruiz has a problem with disciplined fighters.

“The only hope Andy Ruiz has is if you give him an opportunity. But if you stick to a game plan he’s easy to shut down. He’s a good fighter but we all have our loopholes, Andy’s is he can’t beat disciplined fighters.

“When AJ fought him the first time he was not as disciplined as when he fought him the second time. The minute AJ fought with a systemised game plan it was a shut out. An old Chris Arreola, who got with Joe Goosen and stuck with a game plan, beat Ruiz in my opinion by two rounds. Every time I look at the tape, I have Arreola winning by two rounds, it definitely wasn’t as wide as the judges had it.

“Andy Ruiz is going to come to Deontay and when he does he puts himself at risk. We’re going to make him reach, he has to, we’re taller. When he reaches he’s going to pay like he’s never paid before.

“A disciplined, systemised Deontay Wilder has no problem with Andy Ruiz. Does that mean Andy is a bad fighter, absolutely not, but Deontay with a game plan; high hand up, chin behind the left knee, patience knowing he’s going to have his big moments - it’s a shutout, a painful, scary shutout.”

I think Scott is really downplaying how quickly a guy waiting on the right and who doesn't move well going backwards can find himself in something different than what he's been accustomed to. Other than maybe Stiverne who really kept his hands in his pockets big time, Fury, Ortiz, even Washington had huge success trying to outbox Wilder for the most part. The last two eventually were lined up on the end. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the ability of Ruiz to disrupt what sounds like their plan to box Andy. He may very well look to force an exchange as crazy as it sounds. Bit of a suicidal approach one would think but he certainly isn't going to sit on the end trying to out jab, ot range Wilder. He'll have to get close of course but I actually think he gives Wilder an ugly ugly time with the combination punching. Ya just can't get away from the fact that in all reality this will be the 2-3 most talented fighter Wilder will have faced, ever. Also like Ruiz talking about the temple, that's pretty precise stuff. Hope they really get this worked out and set something firm.

Andy has that chopping side of the head punch that comes close to a rabbit punch, he can hurt you with that, he is good at getting that angle in a clinch, Wilder will have problems tying Andy up when Andy gets low. He can sneak it round Wilder's left ear, Andy knows how

I want Wilder vs Ruiz. AJ has loss 3 of his last 4 fights. I'm done with AJ. He has never recovered from the Ruiz KO. He should fight guys with glass jaws and light punchers. Then fight someone a little tougher.

I am also done with AJ. I spoke to him last night and told him that he should go into bodybuilding competitions or maybe championship wrestling and he was like 40% into it
