Interesting read, nice to see Ishe is now unhappy with Goldenboy Promotions he can add them to his ever growing list of people who have wronged him.

Seriously I like Ishe but I've never known a more whiny moany little bitch than him in boxing.

But he made me smile when he said he's going to take up UFC in a few years.

Would be good to see some real athletes in the UFC but I don't know if Ishe is a little small?
Id love to see Smith laid out like you say he is always hard done by, all he does is moan, he aint even a great boxer. Id love to see him in with Margorito, that would soon shut him the F*** up.
No it wouldn't. He would beat Margarito.
Extremely overrated vs Severely overrated. The winner would still be unproven.
Give me a fighter who ducks and I'll show you a fighter that could beat Margarito.
And? I can name just as many.
Let's see. The people that Arum keeps Margarito from fighting. Come on, Margarito's career has basically been a bunch of calling out names and when they step forward making surey ou don't fight them and still saying you're ducked. Since I can't find the words, I decided to use this kung fu hustle clip for reference.

what do you mean real atheletes? I'd say NCAA all american wrestlers, BJJ world champions, Greco Roman olympians, Sambo World champions, kickboxing champions and muay thai champions would constitute as world class atheletes
    cc

Plenty of world class athletes in UFC, so I hope Ishe working hard on his BJ moves...oops I meant BJJ moves.
Care to name some.... I know Pride has a few, UFC is horrible imo.
Hughes, Penn, Couture, Arlovksi, Koschek, Silva, Monson are just a few off the top of my head of fighters who were world class atheletes in different respective genres before they joined UFC...and if you look at all of the fighters who have been a part of UFC at one time or another the list gets even more impressive....Say what you want about the sport and its entertainment value but most of the fighters are awesome atheletes

I don't think Ishe has a clue to what he's getting into....he wasn't a KO artist so I think his chances are slim...

I don't think you can find a better conditioned athlete in any sport than Matt Hughes. I don't like him as a fighter, but he is a world class athlete.
Funny that he'd be your no.1 pick.. My roomates and I actually went down to a pub to watch the last 2 UFC cards.. Anyways I saw Matt Hughes vs Bj Penn and world class athlete is honestly about the last thing that came to my mind watching Matt Hughes.. Standing up on his feet, he sucks.. Sure he may have great conditioning, but that doesn't have anything to do with talent or natural athleticism.. The guy is slow as hell, no coordination on his feet, he was eating slow little jabs and being rocked all over the place by a guy who obviously had some athletic ability, alot more than he seemed to. I know, he won the fight eventually, but Penn wasn't even in shape he just tired out and keeled over, the first 2 rounds he was beating Hughes easily, and Matt seemed very very weak and vulnerable on his feet plus he couldn't take Penn down. Same thing with the last UFC card, Rich Franklin was supposed to be one of the best guys in the UFC, he got absolutely powned by Anderson Silva.. now he is a world class athlete, one of the best in Pride(which has far better athletes imo). Franklin looked just like Matt Hughes to me, slow, rigid, nothing special whatsoever, just a well conditioned strong guy.. If Matt Hughes were to fight a 170 pound version of Silva or any kind of gifted athlete/striker like that I think he'd get beat down. I almost hate the UFC now the more Ive been watching Pride. It's alot better imo.. But I still think boxing has a far larger talent pool then any combat sport.. It just makes sense, it's where the money is.

    P4PKing,

Penn's conditioning may have played a part but he also got his ribs broken during the fight. I don't think you will find anyone that says Hughes has a good standup game, but regardless of his exploits in mma he was a multi year NCAA wrestler. I don't think you can be that successful of a wrestler without being a very good athelete. You hear the Pride vs UFC argument all of the time. If your going to count A Silva as a Pride fighter then you have to count Randleman, Coleman. Barnett, Wanderlei, Lawler, Baroni etc as UFC fighters. The truth of the matter is that the UFC has some very talented fighters but lacks the depth of Pride. Hughes/Penn/GSP is as good as the top three in any Pride division. White is attempting to build a org with American talent so it sells to the US public. To do this he has sacrificed on both talent and an international flair. To me the UFC is a very good regional company that does lots of shows with lots of young american talent, and Pride is an international org with great depth. P4PKing my guess it isn't so much the UFC that you dislike as it is the ignorant mma fan that believes the UFC is the end all and be all of MMA
