I feel bout the same way. I'm pretty sure Briggs is comin at around 270 again, isn't he? Which is fukin stupid IMO, but if his big 270 pound ass gets full extention on a straight right hand then... . Definately a tuff fight to call. If it goes late, Lyakovich could outgut Briggs.

Sergei was behind on all cards and got startched in the 9th by Harris, a one sided beating. Liakhovich fired his trainer and went with a new camp...His best victory prior to brewster was a squeaker against Guinn...and remember he was dropped by a well winded Brewster

Sorry if I'm not to high on this guy...but he's got a lot of hype for a fighter with a weaker resume than even Briggs and Shannon know it...if he can't run away from Briggs for the first 4-5 rounds it will be short...funny how Briggs has transformed himself into a 2nd rate Foreman(the old fat version)...I'll take Briggs in 3...
Have a CC I totally agree.. Besides it's like people forget Brewster isn't that good. At all.
Thanks King...right back at ya CC

Brewster is an undersized HW with heavy hands but no ability.. Briggs is a big HW with heavy hands who actually knows how to punch. My pick is definetly Shannon... Though I realize his stamina is suspect to say the least, I honstly think he'll get an early to mid round KO if he's really training hard for this fight. And if you tell me he looks better than Sergie, well christ Id have him a big favourite.

When Briggs was scheduled for Wlad, most of the opinions were "Briggs is just another (overweight)bum..."
or something like this...(or was this only Lyle... ...nah don't think so...)
Now fighting Liakhovich it looks like his stocks are rising...
Don't get me wrong,I know Briggs got a much better chance winning against Liakhovich,
than against Wlad, but I just think that Briggs isn't either that bad or that good ...
And don't you underestimate Liakhovich...,have him seen only against Brewster, but he can box
and also take a big punch...
I think I'm really neutral on this one(or maybe I just don't care that much...).

When was the last time Briggs actually looked good? Early in the Lewis fight? The guy couldn't even get by Francois Botha, lost to Sedreck Fields, got stopped by Darroll Wilson and laid a freaking egg against Jameel McCline in his last real fight. Since then he's fought nobody, he's big and athletic but he rarely steps up when it counts. I'm still not sure how good Sergeui is but I have a hard time picking Briggs.

Is this going to be the Briggs that drew with Botha? That got beat by McCline? The one that couldn't seem to avoid Ray Mercer's jab?

or the Briggs that gave Lewis a very rough time for about 3 rounds.

We'll see. Briggs is like Zab Judah(also from brooklyn) when he's on and focused he's near unstoppable. But he tends not to show up for some fights. Is this one of them?

I think liakhovich will win by Tko or Unanimous decison because sergui is a bad man in the division he has very quick hands and he can take a hell of a shot if he can take all of them shots by lamon. But even though lamon had a detatched retina he still beat him. But i know that briggs is dangerous but liakhovich is better.
