When was the last time you saw a surprise outcome in a HW title fight (don't say Usyck Joshua)
When was the last time you saw a HW title fight that could have gone either way, and was followed by an obligatory rematch
When was the last time you placed your bum on an expensive seat for a HW title fight

The answers to the above questions will explain why pub fighting (aka MMA/UFC etc.) is taking over the mainstream
    Usyk beating Joshua
With all due respect if you think Usyck was a 'surprise' win, let me know if you ever get a job with a bookmaker. Tight verdict, even controversial was the game plan, with the draw in reserve. Usyck cleverly (some would say routinely) made it impossible for the fix to come in by doing a Buster Mathis on slow-witted Joshua, TWICE. Happy Christmas.

Red face Re: Will Wilder-Joshua EVER happen??

In answer to my original question to Master...... My own answers

When was the last time you saw a surprise outcome in a HW title fight (don't say Usyck Joshua)

Tyson Douglas, although we are led to beleive cocaine was responsible

When was the last time you saw a HW title fight that could have gone either way, and was followed by an obligatory rematch

    Tyson Holyfield

When was the last time you placed your bum on an expensive seat for a HW title fight

Haye Klitschko in Hamburg, it was worth the flight and hotel money to be treated well by the promoter as a customer. The fight with Valuev for an alphabet title was even better organised in Nurnburg, I beleive Saurland was the promoter but could be wrong.

Since Christmas is coming up its time for me to stop sitting on the fence and say what I really think, as an ageing boxing fan who has supported every British HW champ in their quests for world titles controlled by the boxing mafia.

Both Wilder and Joshua are media/promoter created manufactured fighters who couldn't box kippers, they were brought through on a diet of also ran opponents until they could get into a ring with the main promoters men, only to then join an exclusive pantomime.

Fighters like Fury and Usyck are born, not made by some over the hill trainer on a percentage. Fury is clever enough to commercially exploit his situation as a genuine world No. 1, Usyck is just so amazed at how bloody useless the HW 'opposition' is and can't beleive his luck, he would benefit from Fury's advisers to maximise his income.

    There, I've said it

Merry Christmas and a happy new year
