As much as I dislike PauperRy's over-the-top, Instagram-based self-hype... and all the casual fan adulation that comes with it... I have to admit I'm starting to have second thoughts as to whom I would root for in a fight between him and "Tank" Davis.

This isn't the first time Tank shows his true colors with regards to hitting/abusing women. I remember that video of him dragging a women out by the throat from some basketball game of something. Something totally thuggish and thoroughly disgusting. I sort of brushed it under the rug because he's such an exciting fighter... and because between he and Ryan Garcia, I was obviously wanting Tank to bring this mega-entitled diva-wannabe crashing back down to Earth.

But man... this punk is becoming very difficult to ignore. If he wasn't a high-profile athlete he'd likely be in jail already.

So on the one side we've got this young pretty boy kid. Calling for an exhibition with Pacquiao (I haven't forgotten that) when in fact he had never actually ACCOMPLISHED anything. He anoints himself "King"... has a million fawning followers on Instagram... has ONE good fight to his credit... and suffers from that instant gratification syndrome that others like him suffer. He claims to have mental health issues... which nobody will touch with a 10-foot pole... 'cause it ain't cool to question THOSE types of claims... and now is rumored to be going the PED route (nothing substantiated, I'll admit). He's a pretty face who doesn't want to "get dirty" with the grind of a normal boxing rise... but wants all the adulation and rankings NOW.

On the other side... we've got this incredible talent... but someone sooooo difficult to like. He seems cut from the same cloth as Floyd Mayweather (another Floyd wannabe, like Broner). He likes to hit women... and his punkish persona is beginning to wear thin. At some point you gotta root for someone to lay him out in the style he laid out Leo Santa Cruz.

Man... this is a tough one to choose sides.
