I'm quite amazed the judging for this fight (mostly) seemed in line with many of the reports I read, I claiming the WBC and their odd belt are responsible for this honesty, they obviously don't want to upset big brother much so they judged it fair.. surely jakey could have found some judges to give him the win.

Jake Paul has carried the water for boxing. Beating 3 MMA legends 4 times then losing to a terrible boxer. Really demonstrates the skill of the sport.

Now if he could go to his MMA outfit and beat an MMA fighter, dude would be a legend

The minute Paul faced a pro boxer and not even a good one he lost. We saw a bad boxer vs a really bad boxer. As Shawn Porter said, "It was a high level fight, for the level that they're at" Paul can only do what he does. Fury's light bulb could click in and he could improve everywhere.

It was glorified freak fight really. The Saudis bank rolled all these celebs being there. They are trying to poach boxing with their cash. But the atmosphere and crowds are awful. I hate "Sweet Caroline" but you have to say the atmosphere for big fights in the UK is not matched anywhere in the world

Fury won't go very far as a pro. The rematch is the best option for money, that or Love Island. and Fury shouldn’t have celebrated like he did. He got a split decision from a YouTuber. That’s a L. Irony is even though Paul is a youtuber he has a better paying career than most legit boxers and not many people really have the courage to step in the ring at all, never mind with the world watching.

But Jake Paul is no better now than he was three years ago when he had his first fight.

    • His balance is poor.
    • He keeps too much weight on his front leg.
    • He commits to everything and often leaves himself out of position.
    • He looks away from incoming punches and looks at the floor sometimes when throwing his own.

And lack of distance skills and footwork led to the both of them having so many clinches.... the list goes on

Tommy is ruined, he will not get the fraction of money he has against Jake with anyone else even if he was to become a champion. He is not good enough to even challenge for a world title anyway. No way will he have the motivation to train now for a proper boxing match.

What I took from last night.
    1. Credit to Jake Paul. He’s smart, works hard, trains hard, has courage, is a marketing genius………..but he can’t box.
    2. Tommy Fury should not be crying tears of joy in a post fight interview after beating somebody of Paul’s level and getting legitimately knocked down by a jab from him.
    3. If this and the Mayweather fiasco at the weekend can generate this sort of money, then the World is fucked, quite honestly.
    4. Eubank Jr must be kicking himself. If he was starting out today, he would be a Youtube star equivalent of Jake Paul x 100.
Not much difference in the way they went about preparing for Pro Boxing, but Eubank Jr. Went to stratospheric levels in comparison to Paul.
He deservedly fought at World level based on Heart, conditioning and courage.
    5. Anyone with a bit of Boxing savvy should easily beat these inexperienced Johnny come latelys.

couldn't agree more re number 3 at least the PBF one generated next to zero interest it seemed

I watched the highlights earlier. Paul can't box for shit agreed, grabbing and throwing punches when looking away - one of which did get him a knockdown to be fair.

There'll be a lucrative rematch won't they. Bloody annoying.

Makes you feel for the average fighter out there who the casual fan has never heard of. One who trains hard, fights often for little reward always taking punishment. How must he feel watching such people earn millions

This ^ here. All day and night bud.

All we've heard for 24 hrs is how much money he made. In his case for taking an L while earning multi millions. And how he 'deserves' big respect. Meanwhile your average 6-0 has been scratching and swapping shots since they were kids balancing every career move and dollar on that early L or W that comes with real consequence. All the money in the world isn't going to buy you a jab or actual head movement.
