....just how bad is David Tua?
John Ruiz had less trouble with Fres Oquendo than David Tua!!!

Tua had no problem disposing of Ruiz tho ! LMFAO ! 30 seconds of R 1 .Originally Posted by Lyle
Yeah but that was waaaaaaay back before David found "all you can eat buffets"
Tua is a fat fuck ! no doubt about that , he has the natural Midas Touch to put opponents into sandman land , and now he is too fat to get his punch to the mark. a fucking shame. I still say over the course of 12 rounds he would finally connect and knock most of these Heavyweight Muppets out. such a lack luster division.
No he doesn't anymore. He been winning against bums with body shots. And has had a rough time with them. Please. Tua had a COMPETITIVE fight with that guy and barely made it by Salif. Tua aint nothin anymore.Originally Posted by Lords Gym
Lyle, Tua KO'd wheeler...and we all know what its like when a late substitute comes in let alone a 3rd sub!..No excuses, Tua has a way to go, but with his chin, stamina and one punch power only very good boxers are going to beat him easily...he needs to get into shape (besides round) and he will be very competitive in this division...again do you think Liakhovich or Briggs would beat even this version?Originally Posted by Lyle
I agree with you mate ! Even a fat Tua will eventually catch 90 % his prey and devour it ! Cool ClickOriginally Posted by The Promoter
You know that sub has just as much time to prepare for Tua so who was making the most of it before the koOriginally Posted by The Promoter

Tua was still winning the fight before the KO .. it was a fairly fast paced fight, close fight ......the punch output for the Tua fight was quadruple what the Briggs - Sergie fight was.
Wheeler would have easily destroyed Briggs or Sergei .. Tua would have mopped the floor with that Briggs Mop.
Your absolutely right from a conditioning aspect, no doubt about it...but this guy knew how tua fought before they got into the ring...Tua didn't even know who this guy was, what to expect and let's not forget the demotivating factor of facing a 3rd in line guy...So it took a while for a rusty tua to figure him out then "whaap" a KO...It just wasn't that big of a deal...Late replacements are always a wildcard...Originally Posted by Starr
Thanks Bud, it looks like we're the only ones that have faith in David anymore!!! I think the "Terminator" version would clean up the current divison with an exciting showdown with Wlad...am I just dreaming? CC back at you...Originally Posted by Lords Gym
Tua's problems amongst other things is age. David aint no spring chicken. and short heavyweights don't age as well as the taller fighters, its very important that he works on that weight , or top opponents will just pot shot and run like hell and he wont be able to catch them . He’s got to be lighter , so he can close that distance get those hands moving and get that magic in there. Tua needs to find his way to 227lbs, even if he has to buy a map !![]()
He is definately one big fat bastard! I would love to see him come to Superfighter, 4 rounds looks the absolute maximum he would be able to go at one time.![]()
