And the presser after the fight, handing out feee watches to the press etc etc that was BS. It's a ploy, for sympathy whatever. I just don't buy it and I'd like to see how many buys that did. I know there were like 9,000 peeps there, nowhere near full. You know what annoyed me the most,I brought all the talk pre fight that he was going to beat Baldo's a**,that it was going to be a savage beating and you know how excited I was when I saw him come to the ring like a gladiator? I though boy, this is Lil floyd;s time to shine, all the comparing with SRR etc etc and he came out with that?>!> I'm sorry,I just don't buy it. That's not hating, that's my opinion and I have justified it.

This is what happens when you flap your gums too much, raise too much hype about oneself and then do not deliver in the manner which was promised and expected.

Here;s the source for the attendance figures There were over 9,000 people in attendance (far from a sell out), but according to sources, many tickets were sold at a discounted price and offered to hotel employees. The only palpable buzz that could be felt throughout the weekend at the Mandalay Bay was from the fans that were in town for Professional Bull Riders event that was taking place at the Thomas and Mack Center. We'll never really find out just how many comps and slashed ducats were distributed, but it spoke volumes that residents of Las Vegas / Clark County could not buy the pay-per-view broadcast (on cable) because the local blackout was not lifted.

Fair enough, but it's hardly the first time a fighter has said he will knock somebody out etc and then fought a different fight. That's almost a part of boxing. Just think about it this way, how many tickets/PPVs would have been sold if Floyd had said, yeah Im just going to outbox this guy. It will be a really low risk fight for me.. Would that have sold any tickets?.. I never bought Floyds prefight crap for this fight anyways to be honest, I would have been completely shocked if he had stopped Baldo.. It just wasn't the right game plan, why give a guy his only chance to land something. I think the fact that people were leaving has to do just as much with Baldomir as it does Floyd.. THat's why I say you can't really compare it to Winky vs Tito.. People expected TRinidad to win, and they knew he had power throughout an entire fight.. With this fight, you pretty much knew Baldomir had no chance of turning the fight around or hurting Floyd after the 3rd or 4th round, as well as that Mayweather had very little chance of stopping him after the 6th. I must say though until that point I did half expect Floyd to stop him and I was geting excited. Oh well though.. imo, Baldomir just isn't a very entertaining fighter, basically. His best attribute is that anvil on his head, and the fact that he was naturally at least 20 lbs bigger.. I can't say much about this fight surprised me, but I wasn't dissapointed like many seem to be.
