This is a 50 50 fight.  Both fighters can be considered under achievers.
I guess it depends on which Shannon shows up and which Peter shows up.
But I say one thing, the Shannon Briggs that appeared Saturday night isn't gonna do anything in the Heavyweight division except get beat.
Admittedly, watching that fight saturday disappointed me. I thought Briggs would win but he fought like he had no strategy whatsoever. Sergei was open for the right hand all night and I was shouting at the tv for him to throw it. He finally did in the 12th round.
And imo it's Shannon's own fault that he was tired and everything because he took so long to beat Sergei. Damage was done to Sergei but given the action of the fight it shows what Shannon could and should have done from the first round on and this fight would have been over in the 3rd round.
Shannon won by knockout but that won't get him many fans. It was once again a tease of what he CAN do in the 12th but he should have done it 8 rounds sooner.
My opinion of this fight
One of the most non-entertaining fights I've seen in my life
One of the greatest endings to a fight I have seen in my life.
That about sums it up
