They pulled out the mothballed T-34 for their little parade I saw. Thing looked like the little engine that could just chugging along with a parade all to itself. Oh, the pride.

Just shameful really. They're sending T-34s to Ukraine now. WW2 shit to replace the newer shit that got blown to bits by Ukraine. All Russian stuff is just garbage. I had a mate in the British Navy and they used to sail right into Russian navy exercises when they were anchored at night and in the morning take loads of photos of the ships before they could sail away. Most of the fancy missiles and what have you on the Russian ships were made out of wood and painted grey. Their fanciest new planes can't even take out Ukraine's fifty year old MIGs and they lost five in a day last week. Just rubbish. Shows the difference between autocracy and democracy quite well though. You'd think it would give the autocracy/Putin fanboys pause to consider whether they're not backing the wrong horse but obviously not.

Definition of An Army marches on its stomach . I like mac n cheese but that's a bit much. Whole thing is a textbook of unpreparedness and not learning from mistakes so many different 'invaders' have made. Undermanned, undermotivated and underestimating...back at home and on the ground. Even if they churned out most up to date armor they're putting conscripts, convicts and mercs in them with corrupt aged leadership playing cat herder looking over there shoulder. Internally and officer wise it's a house of cards that never expected strong winds. Still cannot believe anyone actually thought this was a slam dunk easy peasy undertaking with experienced defenders meeting them at their doorstep. But they did. Largely it's the fight in the dog. Frankenstein those hulks and point them in the other direction

Russia Fields Increasingly Desperate War Machines Cobbled From Spare Parts


The Russian army is innovating its tanks by turning them into artillery placements and outfitting them with anti-aircraft and naval guns.





Russia is fielding tanks outfitted with anti-aircraft guns first deployed during the Cold War. Pictures of an S-60 anti-aircraft gun fitted onto a BTS-4, which is based on the World War II era T-55, circulated on Twitter and Telegram this week. Over the past few months, ancient tanks fitted with naval guns, artillery cannons, and other parts that don’t normally go together have also been spotted on the battlefield. Moscow’s military is stretched thin ahead of Ukraine’s counteroffensive, short of armor and low on ammunition, it’s innovating by cobbling together what it has.


Open source intelligence outfit Oryx monitors Russia’s war in Ukraine and keeps a list of vehicles it spotted, but have not yet been destroyed. The list is getting weirder. There’s a Russian ATS-59G artillery tractor equipped with a 25mm naval gun, MT-LB armored personnel carriers from the 1970s outfitted with various kinds of naval guns, and BTS-4 tank chassis equipped with both artillery cannons and anti-aircraft guns. Some were spotted in the field, others were spotted on transport on their way to the frontline.
