The Knock Out of Trevor Berbick![]()
When he was on queer street, It looked like there was a ghost in the ring hitting him
Good stuff.
I thought when he knocked out Larry Holmes was his most impressive moment. His win vs. Biggs was also good.
Thanks guys CC back at you. Two other moments that almost made my list were: the 30 second national televized ko of Frazier, and unifying all the alphabet titles.
I thought his best moments were when someone fought back against him
The Rudduck and Bruno fights were his best
ruddock was a great fight in tearms of entertainment, in tearms of showcasing tyson however it wasnt
Biggest pro wins -
Trevor Berbick (becomes youngest hvyweight champ)
Larry Holmes (beat the crap out of a legend)
Tyrell Biggs (crushed an Olympian who was supposed to be a great prospect)
Michael Spinks (beat the holy hell out of a former champ who beat Holmes in 91 sec)
Frank Bruno (wins heavyweight title for the second time)
Bruce Seldo (won another title even though it was a slaughter and Bruce laid down)
Andrew Golota (kicked his ass in impressive fashion but got in trouble for being high)
Don King (won $100 MILLION dollar lawsuit that he never really gets paid for)
hmmm after lookin at this the only really awesome name on there is Holmes, and he was way too old to be fighting Tyson at that point. Seems like all the only good fighters he took on were Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield who he lost to...
I agree that Tyson's best days were behind him when he fought Rudduck HOWEVER it was good watching someone fight back against Tyson....half those early KO's were the product of those guys not wanting to fight Tyson to begin with....they fought scared and Tyson being a bully took advantage of that....so he could have been god awful and he'd still KO people anyways.Originally Posted by oakleyno1
When Tyson fought holmes, it was a year and 9 months after Holmes fought Spinks, and prior to Holmes handing undefeated Ray Mercer his first defeat, and taking a prime holyfield to the distance with a torn retna.Originally Posted by diamonddavestafford
yeah even more than his other tools; his speed, low center of gravity, punching power and the side to side crouch movement that got him inside so quick on a lot of guys, that intimidation factor was probably his biggest advantage.Originally Posted by Lyle

His speed, power, timing, accuracy and lateral movement were different gear.(Awesome)![]()
Tyson was unstoppable in the ring when he was training with Kevin Rooney.
Robin Givens and Don King ko'd his butt outside the ring.
i like when he knocked out frans botha, im surprised his head stayed on his sholders after tysons straight right
