He didn't say he'd beat Mayweather. He said he mastered four rounders and would like to fight Mayweather in one. He didn't say "I would beat up Mayweather so bad in a four rounder." now did he?

What he DID say was "there would only be one winner, me" pretty much amounts to the same thing, no?? He should learn the basics instead of shouting his trap off, simple as that.

He was just on Friday night with Jonathan Ross. (yes im sad and in on a Friday night)
He literally said the words "I'm ready for a title shot now".
I think he needs to stop believing his own hype.
Although, actually, i would love him to try and have a title shot right now. Hed have his ass handed to him like Barrerra did Naseem.

AHAHAHA, BEATIN MAYWEATHER?? WHEN WE ARE YOUNG WE DREAM WE CAN DO EVERYTHING. I LIKE AMIRS CHARACTER, HE SO CONFIDENT IN HIMSELF, THAT MAKES A FIGHTER A GOOD FIGHTER. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND HES JUST GETTING THE KNOW HOW OF BOXING AND HASNT FACED THE MID-GOOD ONES YET.I CANT STAND THAT FATHER OF HIM. ALWAYS LIKE A CHIMP DEMANDING MONEY FOR INTERVIEWS, FORGETTING THAT ONCE HE WAS BATHING WITH ELEPHANTS IN MUDDY WATERS. HE COULD BE LIKE THE NEW GOLDENBOY DE LA HOYA

Theres certain kids that mature early, through genetics and life style young Khan is one of those. The reason hes Boxing S/Feathers is because the management arnt to sure what hes got and wont take chances with him, because of the money invested simply down to business. Having said that hes picking up some bad habits and his posture is not improving

While he undoubtedly has potential, as his olympic silver shows, I think he is very much overhyped at present. Yes, he is unbeaten, yes, he has blown some of his opponents away. But his opponents were nobodies, hand fed to him to make him look good. He is the darling of the media and the UK boxing scene because he is a talented British sportsman from an ethnic background - there are many other boxers of similar age/experience/weight with just as good records, but they dont get a look in in the press.

Remember he fought Colin Bain? How unconfident did he look going into that, knowing full well he was there to act as a moving target, nothing more. One pundit commented that "men have walked to the gallows with more optimism than Bain showed at the weigh-in".

I hope Amir realises he is fighting nobodies at the minute, but I think he is too wrapped up in "fantasy Amir-Land", where he is the #1 p4p and PBF is his bitch. I really dislike the cockiness that has crept into his persona - dropping his guard, showboating, mouthing off etc. I hoped he would mature into a great British boxer, but he's turning into the kind of guy I love to see get sparked out.

He should screw the nut, concentrate on improving his skills and face boxers of increasing quality in the coming months. We all know he has fast hand speed etc, but whats he like when he takes good dig in the chops himself?

    Cant wait to find out.

I make you right, you look at a fighter if youve got any knowledge on Boxing and you can tell with me the jurys stillout with Khan. Where as with Hatton from the first time you knew that he was going to make it. I remember being in a gym in Streatham 87 I think watching this kid sparring and having wars with good fighters. He told me he was going to earn a lot of money out of Boxing he kept pestering me to train him for a long time. but Id to much on you knew he was going to make it. Young Eubanks did it
