ok so just hear me out...just playing devils advocate here... what if there are really no marquis match ups now that crawford took out spence, the bigger charlo isn't ready and canelo doesn't want benavidez .....and Canelo has to carry the smaller charlo so the rematch is worth double and eat up some of that contract? Charlo bolsters his rep so that his fight with Crawford sells and pbc recoups some money there... Bivol, Beterbiev, Crawford are all outside of PBC banner, leaving plant and Benavidez
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

It's the Canelo doesn't want (quack quack woddle woddle) Benavidez that sticks in my teeth like a broken toothpick . Perfect scenario for me was flushed down the toilet when Bud and Charlo sold their own legacy paths. Off the Spence win Bud vs Charlo full undisputed was a golden ticket. There is such a gap of if when it comes to Charlo post Canelo. Just struggle seeing a match with Crawford keeping big luster let alone Charlo realistically going back to 154 if he shows well and belts will fracture no doubt. Not to mention win. Can see Crawford leaving himself in limbo as he's made all his mega fight win all about immediate transferring into a career payday and ridiculous 3 division jump while zero storming the gates at 154 (now rather than 1 year out) or even tempting 160 first. Buds next step is going to be very very interesting and telling.

I hope I’m wrong , but I have a sneaky feeling that “should Canelo win” on Saturday , after the fight , the possibility of Bud v Canelo is gonna get some serious traction.
There is only 1 fight out there for Canelo, even before the Charlo fight was signed………………Benavidez. Anything else is conning the fans.

You have 0.01% chance of being wrong. And since IMO a Canelo win on Saturday is a foregone conclusion... Bud had better get ready for the talk/hype.

Benavidez may as well live on Mars as far as Canelo is concerned.

David will only get in the way of Ginger's ride off into the sunset.

Definitely agree. As far as the canelo benavidez fight, I definitely think theres opportunity for canelo minus old legs against benavidez. I haven't been super impressed with benavidez. Yes, good had speed and combos, but weight problems, blow problems etc, benavidez is more than beatable. Its a size thing overall i think. Benavidez is what chavez, jr should have been...

Crawford and Charlo, should have been the golden ticket. I think much of that is deliberate though from the PBC side. Charlo looked like he soiled himself when crawford called him out mid spence fight and I think Derrick James, PBC and everyone on that side took umbrage to Crawford ability and intentions that could possibly topple their empire. The charlo/ canelo fight and a possible rematch leaves Crawford in no mans land. Essentially locking him out of the fights he needs/ wants for his meteoric charge towards historic to epic. I'm not big on that go anywhere (weight wise) approach with crawford, either. Even if i understand his age presenting that time sensitive x factor. At the same time, its kind of refreshing to see a fighter conscious of age limitations, and health (yes, we're looking at you roy) without having to take fragile sideshow exhibition route or pillow punching you tubers (yes, we're looking at you Floyd).. I guess i've grown tired of the monotony of ego driven primadonnas fighting once a year a half for multi million dollar purses funded by the casuals, shit talkers at ring side calling for fights and trying to negotiate privately on social media and then walking away from contracts/ the table to stew in silence and inactivity while living off their last paycheck for a lack luster fight, and finally, coked out promoters acting like used car salesman over hyping rookies based on social media followings.. and might actually be getting wood while entertaining a scenario. Where one guy takes out spence (the guy that cares about money --than his health), shuts up the all mouth/ less skilled charlo sisters, and then goes up to an unheard of ridiculous weight and possible takes out the face of boxing... and creates a rip in the time/space continuum that undoes the boxing universe... leaving it to start anew (maybe with a union). Bonus being a red faced floyd trying to argue the fact that his place is boxing history was essentially dwarfed by another fighter in essentially 3 moves because he still has money. - sure there will always be some gen z casual that Will say he ran from Davis (the guy eats 75 dollars worth of candy a week out from a fight) but its par for the course... I'd open a beach chair, drink a beer and revel in the middle of the utter chaos it creates...

Honestly the 3 fight undercard is what really makes this one . Barrios at 147 still a question mark but he fills out and physical to match. Rojas v Lubin is a true throwback top contender face off and think we'll find out exactly what fast rising Elijah Garcia is or is not made of v Resendiz. Very solid undercard for once.

I am going to go against the grain on here. I say Canelo wins easy with a dominant display in to the 12th round. On paper the level of opponents, the amount of opponents, The experience at the ripe age of prime 33 vs the experience at the ripe age of 33 of Charlo's history. The weight jump for charlo etc

I will be very surprised if we have an upset tonight but i do love a good upset so i hope charlo can prove me wrong.
