In my defense, I hadn't seen these comments when they came out. Yet I always knew the Kovalev fight was suspect in SO many ways.

Kov was winning the fight for me before the stoppage but probably would not have got the decision.
Kov had lost the title by stoppage, won back the title on points, then had a very hard fight against an undefeated Yarde so still a top world class boxer who was slowing down with age.
To be fair Canelo was jumping up 2 weights which is a bold move so deserves some credit for taking the fight.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
