Douglas laying down the beating from the very 1st round with some nasty body shots and you could in retrospect see Tyson's eyes kind of say "wait a minute man, this is not supposed to happen!"
I always think it gets weighted having "lived" a fight as it happened. But no doubt Douglas v Tyson for me too. Post Spinks and in Douglas lead up Mikes head was on court cases, partying, incompetent cornermen and surrounded by 101 yes men. Easy to say in hindsight sure. But that wasn't just a one and done "oops ya caught me". The brutal fluid methodical nature in which Douglas dismantled Tyson was off the charts. Sounds crazy but tbh I never saw Foreman ko'ing Moorer as a complete and total shocker. Surprising absolutely, but Moorer had been caught rocked and dropped numerous times leading up. The man snagged the title from Holyfield based on a fluke 10-10 round in which he was dropped! Great jab but imo his feet and set up were no quicker than Foreman. Still though what a historical night, gave you chills watching that ending. Lewis had been laid out before and in a way it was like ever since McCall, it seemed unfairly that his detractors were just waiting and convinced it would happen again. I think Rahman v Lewis was the definition of the old cliche "it's heavyweight boxing. Anything can happen with one shot". They took turns.
