one thing the article forgot to mention is that emanuel navarrete was granted super champion status by the wbo, so he can use that status to contend for the wbo lightweight belt as well. emanuel navarrete v denys berinchyk for the vacant belt would be a good fight for the tyson fury v oleksandr usyk card if it happens in february. emanuel would be attempting to win his fourth divisional belt

Good fight for Haney. Actually, good fight for both of them. Prograis could rebuild his promising career and Haney can sustain the momentum for that ultimate clash with Stevenson or Davis.

Both good matchups (Shakur and Tank). But if Haney wants to stay at 140, he's gonna have to look in the direction of Teo and Subriel. (Rolly's a joke)

Prograis has been frustrating. Man is a more than natural top fighter falling into a gypsy roaming the field mode lately. Interesting to watch throughout no doubt. But just not sure he can execute the activity on the front foot to offset Haney. He seriously likes to paint his punches and impress just as much with defense and a natural quick reflex. Nice way of saying he can take his time too often. But can also see Haney hesitant to take chances with the bait and counter punching of Regis. Regis to the body is legit.

devin seems to struggle with his jab against southpaws & regis packs more power than loam & jojo. at four to one regis is worth a bet

got another one right, could happen in may

oh & shakur retired at this news

albert bell will probably fight for the vacant one thirty belt but his opponent could come down to boxing politics. oscar valdez v liam wilson is supposed to be happening, andres cortes v bryan chevalier is also happening february sixteenth. archie sharp could also get the gig

His retirement will last a tad longer than Teos. Reads more like a twitter tantrum. I bet he stomped his feet too.

Right. Can you imagine Hagler or Hearns retiring via social media in a tantrum .

I really do think sm does a massive disservice to some young fighters and hinders some ‘big’ fights from being made.

Just can not ever imagine Hagler typing on a phone about his frustrations and feelings.
