winky wright vs joe calzaghe

The fight tape would be a good one for student boxers. On one side you have defence and on the other you have offence. Although I am a fan of a better offence, defence usually prevails.

I've helf off on me opinion here on this one for a bit...but here's my call.

While I am a fan of both fighters...I'm a bigger fan of Wright.

That being said...I don't think that Wright could stand up to Joe's accumulative power. Wright's defense is tip top...but Joe's output is often amazing...not to mention his accuracy.

I really really don't believe in all this weight jumping siht.

Certain fighters are made for their weights. They lose certain things when they climb.

Even though I think that Wright defeated Taylor in their first fight...there were a lot of shots from Tayor that shook Wright. Calzaghe, IWO, hits as hard if not harder than Taylor. He's also more accurate & throws more.

Tuff call for me to make...but I'd go with joe on this one.

JC for me,because although Wright has the awesome defence,JC is not Tito and won't stop throwing and sooner or later he'll get through coupled with the thinking that Wright could not hurt JC. Winky may start of well but I see Calazghe totally overwhelming him towards the end.Look at Calazghe when he does have to deal with the threat of power(from Lacy,destroyed him),so what kind of respect will he show when there is nothing big expected to come back?! I just don't see how Winky could win.
