Brock has a great fighting spirit, but he seems to be a sloppy fighter in the fights I've seen him in. He was overrated in my opinion. I agree that Sam Peter would KO Brock since Brock doesn't have his chin or power. He is rather slow as well. He did better than I expected in the fight, but Wlad didn't come out popping the jab like I thought he would either. It took 3 rounds to KO Brock after Wlad established the jab; he could have started this process sooner and got the same result in 3 or 4 rounds.

I had it level going into the 7th...but Wlad was in no real trouble at any time in the bout...

I think Brock is pretty good and has a chance against any of the other champs...

I want to see Klitschko/Valuev next dammit. I think this fight will be very interesting since Wlad will have to punch up instead of down with that extra weight behind the punch. Can he stop Valuev? I would order it PPV

It would be pretty one sided IMO....Wlad is actually pretty skilled. Doesnt go to war for a bit of fun and knows its about not being hit too much. Valuev wouldnt test Wlads chin that much and Wlad would get inside easily. He has a far more incisive jab.

Wlad in 6....Peter would be a tougher fight, and Toney is of course, just Toney...and I would love to see what that could produce...

Im a huge Toney fan, but it could be a miserable fight for me. Toney is perhaps over the hill. His skill should have negated Peters power. Perhaps second time lucky. But Toney has too many chances.

I do the same thing... I love to re watching fights . I get an honest view the second go around without emotion . . its crazy.. sometimes its like watching a whole different fight. I think a lot of times I miss parts of rounds from chatting with friends and pizza flying across the room thus leaving me with a false impression of a fight. .

    Lord's Gym

I no longer invite people to my house for that reason. My g/f thinks it's ridiculous but I cannot stand the distraction. I even turn the ringer off the house and cell phones.

Me too. I got the very same curiousity.

I don't think that it'd be that one sided. The size of Valuev would probably cause Wlad the same issues that he causes most fighters smaller than him.

Wlad is the more skilled fighter...I agree with that.

I think that Wlad would pretty much smoke Peter. Toney would be a good fight...Wlad would close him out in the end though. It's be fun to see how Toney took Wlads jabs.

    Agreed.

I may be too harsh on the guy because I do not like him, but I thought Calvin Brock fought like a pansy. I always see a bit of limp wristed, sissified dorkiness in him. His rear end is always poked out and I think he looks ridiculous.

Brock didn't do much better than Byrd did. He even got hammered out in the same round as Byrd. In round one Brock looked like Woody Allen in boxing gloves. It seemed the fight was over before it started and I give him credit for not melting into a blob and oozing under the bottom rope out of embarrassment. That's what I would have done.

On a side note... was it just me or did the slow motion replays of Brock getting flattened look slower and cripser than they normally do for other fights. They were showcasing him for sure. I think the next Wlad fight will be for another title and be PPV.

I feel that Wlad/Toney = Wlad by KO inside 8

I hope those Toney fans never have to see that. Wlad is much bigger, stronger, and (in most cases) skilled than his opposition. Most people knew Brock was going to get put out. In the fight he was just pushing away Brock's left hooks and jabs to the head. It seemed like a weight class difference when I watched it a second time. Wlad was MUCH stronger in there.

As for Brock...he was nervous! Madison Square Garden, infront of thousands of fans, millions watching on TV, and MUHAMMED ALI AT RINGSIDE....so he was nervous and he still did well

    Now Wladimir Klitschko-Nicolay Valuev...

    Wacko are you still drunk?

#1 Valuev has NEVER fought a puncher like Wlad
#2 Valuev has shown a questionable ability to take a punch against nonpower punchers
    #3 Wladimir is more athletic
#4 Wladimir is a better boxer
#5 Wlad can spar Vitali to prepare for such a fight
    #6 Wlad's hands are 100 times faster than Valuev's
#7 For a big guy Valuev punches like a sissy!
#8 Valuev rabbit punches....and as seen vs Sam Peter Wlad can take those
#9 Valuev has NEVER fought an opponent at their peak
#10 Wladimir has the best corner in boxing: Manny Steward, Vitali Klitschko, and probably most under appreciated JACOB DURAN who fixed up that cut pretty good.

I think Wlad would take his time with Nico, he wouldn't rush into anything but he may want to do like Ali-Foreman and pop him once early to let him know who's the boss. IMO Wlad needs to stay in close vs Valuev and use the left hook right hand combo

    Speaking of Wladdy vs. Valuev.....
Wonder if Wladdy would have to reach in to land the jab?

I thinking maybe a little.... Wlad already steps forward when throwing the jab but he would have to worrie about something coming back, being that Valuev isn't fast I'm thinking Wladdy would be able to block and or weave the punches.....

Wlad's jab is so fast and powerful I think it nullifies anything Valuev can do

Like Ive said before: Wlad leave Nick looking like a horror movie gone wrong. As long as Nick could stay up he would keep eating punches. It would be a damn sicking blood fest.

I agree, Wlad has more tools all the way,, easy win for Wlad in my opinion. as long as he uses that jab, and does not get lazy or careless, which can happen , Wlad should have no problem finding a home for the str8 right hand !
