This may play out as a case example as to what happens when you toss multi millions...just an example...at an Andrade or M Garcia to fight mediocre opponents. Same applies to the Saudi lotto bags. There really are no Kings in boxing and super A side also comes with a shelf life. Meanwhile we have 101 top contenders sitting idle behind these log jams centered around the belts etc.

The wba came out to clarify that now Berlanga is only mandatory for Morrell but not Canelo. What a circus.
just the usual negotiations. canelo has got to a point where he can demand the guarantees he wants. dazn have the right not to invest in those demands. i see it as a good thing & maybe a slight correction of over paying for fights nobody wants. david b has one fight left on his contract with pbc, so i'm good with jaime being next in line, unless david m wants to cross the proverbial street but still being with pbc i don't see that happening next. canelo v jaime is a good fight & will do big business

So he left for a few days and came back to the dreaded Pbc. Probably the best head feint he's had to date . And Benavidez just made his last fight with Pbc. Bottomline is if Canelo wants this fight, and it's ordered by coddling alphabet boyz then it happens. And he even has David draining down at 90 days for Sept and under contract renegotiations . Canelo can't even announce an opponent 3 months out these days. The whole thing is a giant circle-jerk. Canelo v Munguia is a runner up and not the one we wanted-needed.

Ok wait... so help me understand here. So does this mean that Canelo is ok with fighting Mexicans again? It's all a bit confusing, because when Benavidez's name was first being thrown around... Canelo said he wouldn't fight fellow Mexicans. So did he take that back? I'm confused here. Isn't Munguia Mexican? Maybe Canelo meant "I won't fight fellow Mexicans that could beat the shit out of me", and the quote was inadvertently shortened. I mean, it could happen, right? Didn't he fight that human mummy (JCC Jr) some years ago? I mean... that's as Mexican as you can get, right? Oh yeah, that's right. He's a BEATABLE Mexican. That's the difference. Damn. I keep forgetting that Canelo's opponents are always picked at HIS convenience, and only when all the chips are stacked in his favor. Silly me. It's just that I've always been used to fighters throwing caution to the wind in that regard. So today's Monday, and Canelo's ok with fighting Mexicans again. (Gotta try and keep up with this shit).

Maybe that is why Canelo joined DAZN so he could beat up fighters from England.

    Makes perfect sense now.

I reckon it'll be back to the good ol average Euro white fighters for Nelo again....White fighters who have racked up score of wins against other other less than average white fighterss and few guys from Africa (Probably one of those African brothers trying to cross the English channel on boats) and the odd Mexican cholo.

For most of his career he's been sh*t scared to fight black fighters, and even when he did fight a blk fighter (Charlo) he was a blown up light middle. Benavidez ? Erm...no...he's not white enough. Nelo would have had heart attack if he was around 30 years ago and had to get through RJJ, Toney, Benn, Eubank, Nunn, Watson, McCallum, McClellan

Zach Parker make sure your mobile is charged

Another thing I have noticed why are most boxing movies about white or non blk fighters ?

Vinny Pazienza ended up getting the shyt beat out of him by Roy Jones Jr but even he got a film about his life. I was not even ten minutes in the Roberto Duran film and they got him as a kid knocking out black kids and they segue to his early boxing career as an adult and they got him ONLY knocking out black dudes. Micky Ward, same thing, 2b fair Micky have an interesting story though...but its always the same hard-luck, inspirational type story. Where is the Tyson movie ? That's been in the works for dam near 10 years !!

I guess having a white or non blk hero, particularly one who beats up Black people during the movie, is an easy way to get greenlit and a $50M+ budget in Hollywood.

To be honest , he’s made it look pretty easy. None of them have given him much of a fight.
