Just think when the undersea fiber optic cable gets cut or sabotaged and just imagine when people can no longer use the internet even for a couple of weeks. There will be a record number of suicides and violence and I really doubt that life the way we know it now could continue. It would go back to the Stone age.

Was talking about that last month with a few. A massive EMP or grids, easily. On the fiber optic I had that twice late last year. It was cut blocks away with construction. We were down down for 30 days and then 9 second time. Of course still had phones in spots. Still convinced the old heads aka geezers do have a better time of it if need be as we grew up without. I've watched young coworkers lose a phone connection for a span of a full day and literally breakdown and panic.

Then again, I also recall when we handed out written reprimands and sent people home for simply being on a phone at work in the first place .
