Great fight. Fair play to both taking that fight at this stage

Draw split by the judges.
Primo what are the lottery numbers this week?
Everything you said was correct.

Don’t want to dig out Howard Foster, since Froch/Groves I’ve never liked him . But I don’t see either guy winning that fight by 3 rounds. Especially Clarke as he had 2 points deducted.
Don’t get me wrong , if you give it to Clarke by a round I wouldn’t argue with it. 3 points is too wide.

No problem with a draw in this case.
Will have taken a lot out of them that.

If Wardley had been deducted a point for his backhanders, he would’ve lost. Very tight.

Interesting exchange in the Willings corner. We want you to push him back. Get on the front foot.
Willings was clearly incapable of that. OK in spots he had a bit of success. But he couldn't sustain front foot pressure. He wasn't good enough. How do the corner not know that, or not see what's going on in front of their eyes? I really wanted him to say I can't, give me another plan.
They would have been pissing into the wind like Robinsons corner were. Robinsons corner wanted their man, who bless him hasn't got a clue at the best of times, to have 'constant head movement' and to 'make him miss and make him pay'. That last one failed to compute and Robinson construed it as make him never miss.
We see it all the time in corners. Instructions given that fighters haven't got a hope in hell of carrying out. Basically we want you to be much better than you are yeah, can you do that for us champ?
Good scrap in the main event. Wardley did well to get through with that nose. I can't warm to Clarke. I can't stand it when someone uses a clinch, as an offensive placeholder if you like. Wlad was terrible for it. I'm attacking, but the attack is running out of steam. I don't know how to finish it off or back out of it, so I'm going to grab hold of you. I hate it. A draw was probably a fair result.
I'm glad Congo beat Marku. Marku is a prick.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
Charley Burley

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
Wardley must fix that nose first, if there is anything left of it, for the rematch to happen.

I gave the fight to Wardley... he did more work and had Clarke backing up for the majority of the fight plus he had the knockdown. Clarke needs to work on his shot selection. Those lead, moving in uppercuts are not necessary five times a round. Like who are you trying to catch with those? Not a premier fighter, that's for sure.
Clarke also gets tagged very easily and he needs to work on his balance in the ring. A rematch is in order for sure. I would give it to Wardley again if that Clarke comes back to the ring in the rematch.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

Fabio Wardley did not commit to a rematch in the immediate aftermath of his thrilling draw with Frazer Clarke.
"It doesn't have to be immediate. It doesn't have to be at all, necessarily. I still have my belts. I still move forward. Again the ball's still in my court. It's still my decision," Wardley told Sky Sports.
"We'll look at the options. It was a good fight," he continued. "I don't know if I can do too many of those in my career, take off too much, put my family and friends through too much panic.
"We'll look at things. We'll have a chat with the team, we'll reassess. There are some things on my end I need to sort first and then we'll go again."
That rematch though could headline at a stadium. "Portman Road is always on the cards. It's one the club want, it's one I want. We did the O2. I think the next step from that is a stadium of some sort," Wardley said.
"So maybe if we do come all the way round to it and go again, that's a very viable option."

Incredible fight.
Two limited guys going at it, fighting to the point of exhaustion, fighting on will and instincts. Both of them left a sizable chunk of their health in that ring. Are they future world champions ? No. But they made it to the hallowed halls of Valhalla, and not all boxers do. The Babylonians once believed man was created from the essence of divine energy, mana, blood or in some cases a strong breath from a powerful deity. These gladiators surely understand on a subconscious level that what they do may someday cause them great harm.
I was so absorbed by it I completely forgot about scoring it.
But Wardley gets killed at world level, blocking punches with your face is a seriously hard way to try and win a fight. This fight really exposed his lack of fundamental boxing skills. Clarke was much the better boxer and he has a good poker face as he hid how tired he was. I thought a draw was the right result at the end and the rematch is the safest credible fight each can take but after that I'd be surprised if either fights again this year
People in the UK should appreciate Joshua and Fury while they are around. It's going to be a big drop down when those two are retired in a couple of years, only Moses Itauma has any real prospects out of UK heavyweights and he needs a lot of work still and has a lot of unanswered questions yet, so he's not a sure bet.
