Maloney letting hands go early. Headbutt midway. Better more assertive 12th and Maloney clinching up, took the 12th. Unsure of first 4-5 rounds fully but gave Guevara 5 of the last 6 rounds clean. Cards taking time..

115-113 Guevara...116-113 Maloney...115-113 Guevara split winner Guevara. Wow . I eat my words! No robberies here.

Maloney sights an injured left shoulder, says he's retiring and "fuck that"

I know the main event was at 11am in Perth so it could be ppv in USA so 5am over here but was expecting some news on the fight.

Got a little late on this end and just watched to enjoy the show. Never been a huge Loma fan but he looked absolutely superb. Now sure we can knock Kambo as a one trick pony but he remained a sturdy and tough as teak operator and former unified champ. Other than a few spots early he was just not in this one. Loma hit on all cylinders with the come forward and wind bending get off to the side thing he does . Just a methodical breakdown of Kambosos with emphatic finish in the 11th. Loma clearly stands next in line for Stevenson or Tank, likely Stevenson.

on a side note if you missed the ring announcer you missed to absolute worst shit show I believe I've ever witnessed. A literal carnival barker and a pattern we have now in boxing where every perimeter figure/official needs to make it about themselves. Shouting, yelling, red face pointing mma style and throwing cards in the air . Makes you truly appreciate the professionalism and class of a Lennon Jr and Buffer.

it was absolutely brilliant. attended the open workouts & the weigh in. got to the fight super early & watched the massive crowd build up. it was great to see loma in person & how he has slightly adjusted his style to be more on the front foot & on the in side. heading home today. i thought andrew moloney was a sore loser. i had that fight close but thought he lost. the quiet crowd told the real story there. that ring announcer made australian boxing look bad

Man I thought you were in Canada? That's a quality experience right there. Yeh even after Maloney had a chance to cool down they gave him the mic again and he doubled down .

Lomachenko looked outstanding. Some of that is down to Kambosos' limitations and might have made Lomachenko looked better than where he really is. At 36 he's still fast. Not as fast as his prime and his footwork has also slowed a little. His boxing IQ is still exceptional and he got the stoppage that other fighters couldn't. Bring on Lomachenko vs Davis.
