well, if I'm interpreting the term correctly, it's also called "speed training" which is based predominantly on explosive (weight) lifting that uses loads of maybe 50% of your one rep max, and plyometrics. Distilled down to a single take-home message, it's any exercise that builds speed and power by targeting fast twitch muscle fiber through fast (explosive) movements with less to little to no resistance (other than body weight).

Examples: clap push-ups, medicine ball slams, dumbell snatches, burpees, etc.
