Steady rising. Fair to say that overall, he merits p4p status. Where well that's up for debate. But I was impressed with him last night. Once he smells the openings, he really does a good job at barging it with both hands working. And he's apparently "worked" big time to separate himself from Mayweather so that's always a plus. Didn't like the gladhanding and Ryan Garcia banter post fight and one of the last fights I want to see is that rematch for him. He hit 30 years old recently and Haney no longer in the conversation at 135 let alone 140 so let's hope he and Shakur look to unify. Shakur gives him problems. His number one William Zepeda would be a fantastic fight with the volume of Zepeda. Long time showdown with Loma being talked about also. For me I believe he is one of the hardest hitters in the sport today. And it's not dumb-bomb power, he is calculated and sets it up better now.

I don't think a fighter at 135 has had the level of competition that Davis could face since maybe when Whitaker was there. Lomachenko, Stevenson, Berinchyk, Zepeda. That would be quite the run.

Gervonta Davis said: "After next year I’m out of it."

He said: "Out of the sport, nah I can tell you my fights."

It was a remarkable moment, which saw the presenter left in a brief stunned silence before moving the conversation on.

The 30-year-old later elaborated on his comments, doubling down on claims his clash with Roach will be one of his final outings.

He added: “It’s over with after this year. This is trash, garbage. I’m out.

"I’m fed up with it. I don’t care about belts. I don’t care about none of that.

"I’m worried about getting my money and getting out of there. I’m just fed up. It’s not even boxing. It’s everything. I have kids, too.

"I just had a boy. I don’t want to have to keep fighting and getting punched and all that.

“I'll probably be building my real estate portfolio, just trying to separate myself from the limelight.

"I just wanna be able to make money and stay out the way, that's it. I want to be living without being seen.”

I hope I'm wrong, but something in Davis' character leads me to believe that this has "train wreck" written all over it. I wish him well. But this seems like a troubled young man who might very well encounter severe real-life issues once he's out of boxing.

tank knows there's not a lot of interest in his fight with lamont so he had to create some drama to get some buzz

He still looks like a train wreck waiting to happen once he's outside of boxing.

probably, it's just that before most of his fights there is some drama to drum up interest, like his fake beefs with floyd in previous fights. this fight it's talk of next year being his last in the sport
