Had no idea about Dempsey-Gibbons. Was that like the financial blow up afterwards or weight? Gets you thinking about the initial days of boxing meeting first regular media exposure. Pretty sure I read about one of the eras top guys boxing a bear once . Jack Jackson vs Ketchel maybe?

Great call on Foreman. The Toronto five and some rehabilitation soft comeback for George after Ali. They had Cosell on it and Ali on the mic ! I guess one plus was about 4 of those guys were at least actual journeymen fighters, all with experience. He had already knocked one out but on that night none of them went on Foremans record as legit wins.
