Tsutsumi vs. Higa delivered another thriller, with 24 rounds now shared and still no separation on the scorecards. This time, though, I had Tsutsumi winning clearly, 116-112.
Tenshin Nasukawa showed serious championship potential in just his 6th pro fight. Moloney, as always, brought the fight, but those calling it close or for Moloney weren’t seeing the work Nasukawa was putting in—I had it 96-94 Nasukawa.
Nakatani looked every bit the P4P talent, steamrolling Cuellar. With Nishida entering the ring post-fight, a WBC/IBF unification seems likely. As much as I'd love to see Nakatani chase undisputed at 118, a super fight with Inoue at 122 or a clash with Bam Rodriguez at 115 feels more realistic.
