Awesome KO. Many of the highlight reel KO's in boxing have come from left hooks. Chin exposed... hook coming in from the side... connecting on the point of the chin and twisting that head quick enough to temporarily short-circuit the brain.
Vicious, but classic stuff.

Spicoli, Foster was a devastating puncher, and I believe that was the only time Tiger was knocked out. Bailey, fittingly called "The Knock-Out King," had pure dynamite in his fists—just look at how that Mike Jones KO derailed his career.

TitoFan, not to rain on Cotto’s parade, but Ishe Smith taking on Bailey in just his 14th fight is pretty wild.

Master, that McCallum left hook KO was a thing of beauty.

One KO that’s always stuck with me is Arthur Abraham stopping Khoren Gevor. The way Gevor crumples like a puppet with its strings cut is something else. Pure brutality.

It is admirable that Ishe Smith took on Bailey in only his 14th pro fight. But my comment still applies, as there are very well known, famous boxing stars who have built (or rather padded) their records with scores of weak opponents to the point of having gaudy 30-0 or 40-0 records. By comparison, Cotto was taking on credible, tough opposition early in his career. He is by no means the only one, but again... there are some well-known cases (I won't go into names here) where they've built their resumes on artificially padded records.

Speaking of knockout blows. Nothing is worse than a liver shot. It's almost as torturous and painful as taking a dump after eating rancid Mexican food for a whole day and your sh*t is wearing a large sombrero.

Or imagine running from a pack of pitbulls chasing you like this.



And your running till you can no longer run no more. Well a liver shot is worse than that.

A liver shot is 30 seconds of thinking you are gonna die.

Well maybe that's a bit strong, but in terms of pain, being dropped via body shot you just feel paralyzed. your brain says ''get up sucker, get up, whoop that bitch'' your body screams ''FK OFF I AIN'T getting up for solid 3 minutes now''

Well, the poorer shape you're in the worse you'll handle them.

Case in point: Mayweather, getting hammered repeatedly by ODLH, Ortiz and Maidana sinking left hooks downstairs and round-the-back in multiples. They were all basically attempting to liquefy his liver. Problem is Mayweather was such a gym rat, there was so much tightly packed sinew and muscle forming a natural shield.

Or you could be SO OBESE at the other end of the spectrum the blubber actually cushions you to numb you to body shots and protect your organs. So you either want to be super-fit or a complete mess. Anything in the middle leaves you susceptible to a liver shot KO.

Knockouts to the head ? Well it's not what you expect it to be like, it doesn't really hurt. A good shot is like when the reception goes bad for a few seconds on the TV. A great shot and your electricity supply is switched off. Everything goes black, and you just seem to lose control of your body, but at the same time you are unaware of what is actually happening, ie you don't realise your on the floor until you come around and regain focus. When you start to come around, everything seems very surreal, and you feel very disoriented and confused. Once you get your wits back about you, is when the pain comes.

Knockouts look worse than what they are, I mean look ur not being ticked, but it's usually not like "Ouch that hurt" like many casuals think they are.

The knockout punch short-circuits the brain. You're cut off from your senses, and are effectively rendered helpless.

I have always thought Juan Manuel Marquez won all his 4 fights against Manny Pacquiao.

This knockout was brutal and when someone lands face first you know they have been fattened.
